although a secret cult hiding their activities by pretending the members are off for jury duty sounds like a really cool plot. and they would likely be legally bound to not talk about what they discussed in a jury so it would be a really interesting way to cover for cult behaviour.

Yeah, sorry about that. No video uploads.
To explain, we have a limit on how much file storage we can have without site fees going up big time,
Pretty much, depending on how we choose to host we will end up with of order ~100gb file space. current option is 75gb.
This is fine for pictures but the forum has been going since 2016, file space could add up if we arent careful. even if we let people try to put videos the restricting of the max file size will pretty much veto video content. If we up the max file size then I will get people grumpy when they use up their space and end up having to go through and delete old uploads.
So we instead just allow embedding from sites like youtube or linking to drives as you have done. it sucks but unfortunately that is just one of the restrictions with forums of this size.
On a different note, nice work with the video.

Nein, England's hardest-to-pronounce location is Reading, because everybody outside Reading wants to pronounce it "Reeding".
I'd pronounce the Welsh town something like lllan-fair-puull-guwn-guhll-gog-eru(sh-like-ck/ch)uu-urnd-robuulllan-tus-ili-og-gohgoh-go(sh-like-ck/ch).
Eh, actually, I'd just say "Llan-fair" or something.

Sex is often an important experience that many allos struggle to have or maintain, and this goal is especially difficult during modern times.
A lot of time and energy may get invested in this goal, so now imagine they see your post. Sex doesnt even seem to be a factor or pursuit for this person.
They don’t even struggle with this and openly state its unappealing. The fact that you live without sexual ambitions, ambitions which frustrate allos makes them jealous of you. The fact you can be happy without sex makes them very jealous. Added to this they may attack happy virgins because these allos see themselves in another.
They see another virgin, who cannot be happy while im miserable! It goes against amatanormativity, their experience, they must be saying they are happy to cope. I think the root of it lies in jealousy and insecurity.
Thats just a guess though…

A few beginner’s thoughts: Double-handed wave; shielding (whilst not obscuring) their face to look up at the sky; shyly leaning to one side; straight (and leaning) arms pointing skywards to make an ‘A’ shape; cupping their face in their hands to look eagerly at all the comments below them; leaning back with their hands resting within their work gear or lightly on top of their shirt; resting on their haunches with their face gently tilted to one side; eyes closed whilst their body is mid-spin; hands thrown to the side and above, and their body curved, as they slide into the frame; sweet hand gestures pressed into their cheeks as their elbows rest on the frame of the pfp; peeking out from a corner of this frame whilst they look up at an explosion of detail within their background; or resting on the floor, hair loose around them, on a bed of colour or quotes or sheaths of paper full of ideas.
If you ever include more than one character in your pfp, I love that design trope where you have two distinct portraits that (look as if they) are interacting with one another (simply looking towards the other, or eagerly gesturing to each other, or even playing a sport together). A User, I think you'll create something next-level!

culture shock, mainly the romance kind
i met up with a few old friends i havent seen irl since the pandemic (for reference they're mostly 1yr older than me, or the same age as me. one of them is 1yr younger than me tho)
most times i'd overhear them going "i want a bf" or like "i just left a toxic relationship" or smth and im kinda like "ok" in my head but i cant rlly find common ground with them
one of them (younger one) said "i want to get a bf in highschool"
like girls i get ur point u can stop being allosexual now
at least one of the friends (i'll call A) didn't rlly participate bc she's a lesbian/bisexual so we kinda talked about AJR and animation and now that's what i can relate to a lil bit
when all of them weren't talking about partners and potential dates n stuff, we were cool. talked about manga and learned that "adult" manga exists. it's basically nudity but someone had the balls to draw uncensored boobs and super sexualized situations.
we watched a Studio Ghibli movie (howl's moving castle) bc A was particularly "offended" that i haven't watched it yet
the animation is truly *chef's kiss* and i loved it (WHY DO THE SHEEP LOOK LIKE BALLS OF WHITE IT'S SO CUTE)but still, feeling all the fucking culture shock kinda just made me realize im prolly gonna be hanging around ppl who want bfs/gfs/partners more than they do an actual platonic friend i bet
as certain cartoon caracters would say I guess this is my life now.
tho im not too sure how to deal with the fact that im 15, have 0 interest in gaining a bf or gf (i want friends the most), and cannot relate to the "i want [romantic thing here]" sentiments
