Spud
I thought this would be the perfect place to bring up rings/pride for aromantics. I think there's a thread on AVEN about it. I'll add it when I find it. Edit: here's the post- http://www.asexuality.org/en/topic/116225-aromantic-ring/?hl=%2Baromantic+%2Brings#entry1061615351 What do you guys think about the rings? I think some suggested a green ring or another one worn on the left finger.

pengu
I would love to have a ring formed as an arrow around your finger- but those are hard to find >.> It's better to go basic i guess....
Mezzo Forte
I dig the idea, though I can't say that I wear rings too much because of the hand drumming I do. (Not to mention that the one ring I did wear frequently is now too loose after I dropped in ring size.) I'll echo that simple is best, so a green ring or a white ring could work decently enough.
Zae
Well, looks like I gotta order another ring soon then =3 So, yeah, I think it's good~

Vega
A white ring sounds cool. Though I personally usually wear black.
Blue Phoenix Ace
If it's a green ring we could get Green Lantern rings. How cool would that be? I heard about the idea floating around of a white ring on the middle finger of the left hand. How about something like this, or is it too shiny?
DeMorgan
You should get something that is uncommon as a ring, though. Lots of people have silver rings.
Spud
Wait, so the general consensus is that a white ring would work better with more outfits, but which finger/hand would we wear it on? The same as the ace ring finger, or maybe on the left ring/middle finger?
deactivated
I wore a ring but it backfired, I was asked if I was married ._. 11
Spud
Just now, Rythian said: I wore a ring but it backfired, I was asked if I was married ._. Oh yeah. That could be an issue. That's maybe why we should wear it on the same finger as the black ace ring, so that people won't confuse it for a wedding ring.
Vega
True, but then again some people might want to wear both aro and ace rings. On the other hand, it's a good spot. A silver ring would at least be easier to find than a black one, I swear I spent half a year looking for a black ring.

I'm not too well versed in jewelry. I personally don't wear any of these rings. I'm considering doing it in the future though. There's really no point right now, though, because no one will understand what it means.
Vega
Yeah, that's possible. Or even a black and white ring. My black ring's really thick though, but then again if that's a problem people can decide what they want to wear.
Blue Phoenix Ace
I feel like having it on the right hand would be good too. But it's been mentioned in the past to put it on the left hand instead. I kind of feel like if it would be on the left hand, I just wouldn't bother because that's too many fingers with rings on it, LOL
tea-cup-full-of-spiders
I loved this idea! I saw that post a while back and I actually have a silver and black ring that I've been wearing as my ace/aro ring. I wear it on my right middle finger
breaddd
I would try to find a white ring somewhere. I don't think I'd like to wear it on my right hand because I think it would get in the way. Wearing it on the left hand, maybe middle finger or even the pinky would work?
RedNeko
I did some quick research on which fingers have significant current meaning and this is what I got: Little fingers: There are 'profession' rings and these are usually in something like iron and worn on your working hand. Left ring finger: Engagement and wedding bands Right index finger: Used for wedding bands in some Jewish traditions, but usually it is moved to the right ring finger after the wedding ceremony Right ring fingure: In some countries this is where wedding bands go, particularly for men There has also been a trend in the lesbian community (and maybe gay too, sources vary) to wear pinky rings (in some sources it's specifically signet rings) to show their identity. It is unclear to me if this is still in practice. However, in the Victorian era the same practice was used by men and women who were uninterested in pursuing marriage, which I found quite interesting. To be honest apart from the left and right ring fingures, most people don't really care about what meaning a ring on a particular finger may or may not have. I would recommend not using the pinky finger if your worried about mixed means, but personally I quite fancied wearing a ring for aromanticism on my left pinky finger. If you want to use it as an way to show your orientation to others then the left middle finger is a nice easy thing to agree on.
Cassiopeia
I do not really like rings that are plain bands. Just too close to wedding rings, and also I'm a quite tactile person, most rings tend to irritate me. I have one I wear all the time, but that's it for me. As for lesbians, as far as I have seen, thumb rings seem to be a thing, also index and middle finger ones. I did not really see many rings on the pinky finger. Family crest stamp rings went on the pinky finger, and they still do in some old families. For aro pride, I have a necklace similar to this one, and I'm quite happy with it.

Just looked up "sterling silver arrow pendant necklace" and it gave me several options. But I have also seen one in the local alternative jewellery shop where I go to get the wood tunnels I wear in my ears. I guess if you aren't allergic to metals, you will have plenty more choices. Apparently arrows are a hipster thing as well... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Abyss
I'm so into rings you have no idea. I'd support the idea of a white or silver plain ring on the left middle finger, I think... my right middle finger is already taken by my ace ring, without which I cannot leave the house or I feel naked, and I dislike the idea of ring stacking.
