  1. Well, what kind of thing do you have in mind?
  2. So I would search for pride-based colors (green, green and white, green and black, green and purple, purple, purple and black, etc.) of things you like or want (lanyard, keychain, bookmark, bracelet, headband, pin, leg warmers, socks, earrings, stickers, etc.). Ex. Green lanyard Ex. Purple and black jewelry Congrats on doing well!
  3. Considering we'd like to boost participation, feedback from folk who don't participate is most helpful, lol. Thanks!
  4. It's you! That's what it is. :) I can give you some labels to look at if that's what you're asking, but remember that identity isn't about being "diagnosed" with the "correct" term. It's about you. What makes you feel good. What makes you feel comfortable. What makes you feel safe. What makes sense to you. What helps you connect with a community of people with similar experiences. It can be multiple of those or any one of those - whatever matters to you. You are the only one who gets to define you. Nonbinary Genderqueer Ambonec (being both and neither male and female) Agender (lack of gender) Neutrois (neutral gender) Gender neutral (could be neutral gender OR neutral presentation) Centrgender (neither cis nor trans/neither not cis nor not trans) Apagender (apathetic about gender)
  5. Normally when she does this, I make her go hungry until the next meal.
  6. Thanks so much for this! This gave me a lot of insight on some things we need to clear up. 1. I personally would be happy to accept any form of art, not just writing. I tried hosting once and encouraging art but got no submissions along those lines. I would like to discuss with the other hosts if this is something they're amenable to as well. A lot of the places I promote are pretty drawing-focused, so that might be an avenue for us if properly promoted. 2. Would it help to know that we don't expect you to promote at all? We do all the promotion for you! That's actually specifically my job. (I am slacking right now because I got locked out of discord thanks to 2fa, but I have a handful of places to promote, so it's not a total loss.) All you have to do is write the post and have an accessible way to submit to you (google forms, email). You could host by posting a topic on this forum. Or if you really don't want to host on your own website or anything, we could post your call for submissions on the Carnival of Aros site for you. We'd expect you to keep track of submissions, but as long as you wrote the post, I believe we'd be happy to host the post for you. This brought up a lot of good stuff, though! I bet we could pretty easily provide a template for hosting/round ups that might help writing a call seem easier and more accessible. Thank you again so much for your time and insight! I have some things to discuss with the other hosts based on this. I really appreciate it. =)
  7. What does the anxiety feel like? What thoughts make it better? What thoughts make it worse? Feelings are completely subjective. Nobody is going to be able to tell you how you feel or why. I do see you've been having a lot of anxiety overall regarding exploring your gender. Just slow down and take it at your own pace. I suggest the Gender Quest Workbook to help you through this, which you can get free here: https://transreads.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/2021-07-23_60fa10b39be9a_TheGenderQuestWorkbookAGuideforTeensandYoungAdultsExploringGenderIdentitybyRylanJayTestaDeborahCoolhartJaymePetaRyanK.SallansArleneIstarLevz-lib.org_.pdf I would also look for a copy of How to Be You by Jeffrey Marsh, a nonbinary activist. The book is just about how to find self-acceptance and maybe even self-love. Remember, umbrella labels are there for a reason. You identify as whatever makes you happy. Not everybody can pinpoint their specific gender(s). What's more important is: what do you like? What do you not like? What makes you happy? What makes you uncomfortable? Just figure out at least the path of least uncomfortable things, even if the "best" is what makes you feel neutral. "What" could be: hairstyle, clothes/fashion, name, pronouns, titles/honorifics, body presentation, body configuration, voice, etc. Figuring these out will probably come at separate times and not all at once. Figuring out some may change others. They may even change throughout time (short- or log-term).
  8. Thanks so much for sharing! I'm glad people are reading and finding answers interesting. =) You don't have to answer, but I have a couple of follow up questions if you're willing. 1. Would it be easier for you to submit if we accepted multiple mediums? For example, would you find it easier to represent your thoughts via painting, song, music composition, sculpture, etc.? 2. Have you thought about hosting as a way to participate? (If not, why?)
  9. To be fair, it's definitely related to/wrapped up in jealousy imo. It's not at all unrelated. Jealousy is a biiiig thing in committed relationships and especially (but not only!) monogamous ones. I'd be really interested in doing some sort of study to explore how amatonormativity intensifies and encourages jealousy (when you tell people they're supposed to have one most important relationship and de-prioritize all other relationships in a social, communal species, it makes sense to me that you're going to pretty much mass produce loneliness and jealousy issues).
  10. I don't know that anybody can really accurately answer this for you. Maybe they're bored and decided to get to know you. Maybe it's hormones. Maybe they changed. Maybe it's something as simple as a new haircut making them notice you.
