Hey y'all! Just wondering if anyone has found any aro podcasts or any podcast episodes about aromanticism, or asexuality for that matter! I find that podcasts are very comforting for me in hearing people's experiences that are similar to mine but haven't been able to find any about aromanticism

Not aro but there is the solo podcast by peter mcgraw talks about single living and alternative lifestyles and all that if that is interesting.

I've listened to aok and sounds fake but ok and enjoyed them both.

“A Ok” has been my favorite so far, in terms of hearing other peoples’ experiences. On the other hand, if anybody knows of any fantasy / story podcasts with aro/ace characters I’d love recommendations.

@Holmbo What do you mean by it sounding fake? How is it fake? 

I haven’t listened to any of them yet, might listen tomorrow....

Do the people sound like they are reading scripts, that would be weird....

Just give them a try. It cost nothing and if you don't like their delivery you can just stop listening.

I would say that with "Sounds Fake but Okay" they're definitely not reading scripts. They're sometimes actually a little chaotic hahah.

Just finished listening to an episode about aro ace joys from Sounds Fake But Ok, and its definitely not scripted. I thought you where saying that the show was scripted @Holmbo, but I didn’t realize the show was literally called sounds fake but ok...My bad... Anyways I would recommend the podcast, its entertaining and encouraging, would listen to it again...

So- this kinda has to do with aromanticism and asexuality but I'm working on a podcast which is going to explain my journey with sexuality and gender and how i finally figured myself out, but i need name ideas ;-;

Identity crisis - SOLVED (You have a big folder and at the end of each episode the word solved shows up in bold on the file, kind of like a detective case. Oh wait.)

Orientation Detective

umm if you want to use the name Quinn, Quinns got Questions. (alliteration is always fun)

I can't really think of any more, but consider the detective or investigation theme, I think those type of names would go great with your podcast and its content...

I feel like it's good to get as much description into the name as possible. So if people search for it they'll see the name. So maybe call it something like aromantic asexuality journey.

I've been listening to this podcast and it has some great episodes. Like E65 Dating remarkable friends, where one of the guests is clearly aro.

Absolutely agree on recommending this one, Relationship Anarchy and solo parentsare two episodes that I come back to multiple times, very interesting.

there are also a lot of episoodes focusing on friendship and making good friends which I found quite useful.

 

For another suggestion, there are a few episodes of The Barefoot Backpacker's podcast which are slightly related. They usually do travel stuff but there are a handful of pods talking about queer things. Its mainly asexuality but if I remember right there are a few points of overlap with aromanticism.
