Hello! I used to like having wiggle room in my identity and while it isn't a bad thing, I think it's safe to say that I am definitely aroace, lol. I also prefer the layout here and I'd say this site is a bit more user friendly than AVEN.

You get more time by freezing time for everyone but yourself at will, but to do this, you siphon seconds from someone else's life, so they will end up dying earlier. At my school, there was this one girl who basically shipped me and one of my close friends. We couldn't talk to each other in front of her sometimes, because she'd be like "aw, this is why you're such a great couple!" eventually she stopped saying that kind of thing, but it was really annoying while it lasted. I have no idea why she decided to stop doing it, so while I can't help you solve it, I can empathise with you.

It's not the last thing I bought, but it was the last thing I got where I was actively saving money for a while to buy it. It's the Lego Star Wars UCS Republic Gunship, which cost me £310 and a weekend of my life I'll never get back. You could introduce the concept of QPRs as an alternative form of friendship, one wherein the relationship doesn't conform to any set of societal expectations of what friends would be. From there, if they're interested, you would talk about potential boundaries in this relationship should it happen to occur.

I had been questioning if I was aromantic for a while before this, since I had known I am ace by that point, but I knew I was aro when I was trying to plan a date with someone I knew. The more dating this person became a reality, the more I realised that I didn't actually want to date anyone, not with her at the very least. I think for many people, they say "just friends" because there aren't many things they'd do with friends compared to what they'd be willing to do with a romantic partner. This is mostly referencing sexual activity, but it can be other stuff as well - taking them out to eat, buying surprise gifts, living together long term. For many people, being friends with someone limits what they can and can't do with them - particularly for men. Men are less likely to be physically affectionate with friends and less likely to be as emotionally vulnerable with them. This would therefore create the false idea that friendships are inferior to romances, in large part due to the societal boundaries on what is and isn't acceptable for friends to do. Aros face this pressure, too - QPRs exist as a way to make a relationship with someone that doesn't have to restrict itself to the boxes of being friendships, romances or even sexual relationships for some. This is just my thoughts on why the phrase originated.

Are you attracted to your partner? If you are drawn to them in a romantic/sexual way, you're likely romance/sex repulsed. It is possible to not be aroace but be sex/romance repulsed, and it's perfectly fine to be. Alternatively, you may find that you aren't particularly attracted to them, or you may be only slightly attracted to them, or attracted to them in only one regard. I agree with roboticanary, reading people's experiences with romance/sex repulsion will help you find your answer.

I don't know if he's been mentioned, but Jango Fett in star wars. My man looked at romantic relationships and said "no" and went and cloned himself to have a kid. Most of the clones in the GAR are also aro, and they're all in a massive QPR with each other. If you've seen the clone wars show, don't tell me that Fives isn't in a QPR with every other clone when he talks to Rex during the battle of Umbara.

At least it's not as basic as me. I'm one of nine different people named Daniel in my year at sixth form. The amount of people who call me by my second name only is kinda ridiculous. Genuinely, one of my friends is only called Daniel because one of the other babies at the hospital had also been named Dan, and they couldn't agree on anything else.

Hi! I hope you'll have fun here. Aria is such a nice word, and possibly a more beautiful name (I suppose in this case, nickname lol). I like it for two reasons: it means melody or tune, usually in opera. Secondly, c418's Aria Math is such a good song depending on the day it's my favourite song. Am I the only person who's not straight who has never used tumblr? I got all my info from Wikipedia lol.

I don't know if anyone has said this, but I think that c418's Habitual Crush is fairly aro. At the very least, it feels very aro-questioning to me. c418 himself said he wrote it at a time when he was confused about the concept of romance, and I think some of the lyrics can be interpreted as aro. I just know that when I was questioning if I was aro, it felt like that song gave words to my feelings lol.

I'd just tell them that seeing the problem is like seeing your nose; alloromantic people have just blocked it out and can't see it unless they happen to focus on it.
