  1. This one during pride month doesn't count. People usually even don't pay attention for it. I'm talking about other thing. Like, there's AAW and two other days marked in different months, so why don't mark some dates for aro pride/visibility?
  2. Connections between neurodivergency and being aro. Why aromanticism isn't opposition for 'hopeless romantic' (orientation can't be opposition to a trait). What is SAM and that there are aros who don't use it (personally I've already had situation when sb tried to force me to use 'asexual' term while I don't identify with it). Why the narration 'they were bad but they found a partner and it turned them good' is harmful for arospec.
  3. Shikamaru Nara. He's a cool neurodivergent and arospec headcanon at once and I find it sad that the author gave him a partner even if the character from beginning wasn't showing any romantic interests in others. Compulsive amatonormativity. Kawaki – he just seems to be strictly aromantic and repulsed by romance in general. When he heard about one character being in love with him, he wasn't happy about it. He was just like: "romance? Love? Ewww, leave me in peace".
  4. The most visible parts of LGBTQ+ community celebrate their visibility or have their awareness weeks/months even a few times in a year (including or not, the national visibility/awareness celebrations, too). What do you think about to pick a day to make it an aromantic visibility (or pride) day? I'm thinking of 8 of August because this number (8) looks like a 'turned' infinite symbol which can be interpreted as a symbol of aromantic spectrum. In my opinion, an ASVD would help to raise awareness of arospec persons existence because it makes people to think, remember 'there's something on this day', even if in the beginning would be a few persons outside the arospec community who remember it.
  5. It's possible to be a varioriented person. It means your orientations don't 'match', like aromantic bisexual, panplatonic aromantic and other things like that. Also, alloaros are forgotten outside the aromantic spaces.
  6. 'Valentine's Day' is nothing more and nothing less than capitalistic thing. In my opinion it's just about spending your money to make the corporations richer.
  7. Polish: aromantic (orientation) – aromantyczność aromantic (person/adjective) – aromantyczny (masculine), aromantyczna (feminine), aromantyczne (neuter and plural non-masculine) Portuguese: aromantic (orientation) – arromanticidade aromantic (person/adjective) – arromântico (masculine), arromântica (feminine), arromântique ('neo'-neuter)
  8. That's true, unfortunately. We have to do everything of our own, a few groups and organisations remember about us. In the place where I live, they invite aces to make an interview, write articles and aros seem to don't exist for them. The only one interview focused in 100% on aromanticism that I remember was done with me (in the beginning of my aro activitism and I made some mistakes while responding, so after it I made correction on my own profile). Also, the problem is much bigger, we can notice it for example when they're talking about asexuality and they use 'aspec' instead of 'acespec' which literally erases our existence.
  9. Hi! Of course you can call yourself aromantic. Being aro doesn't mean you have to be a romance negative, romance repulsed and hate story with romantic plot, there's no 'have to'. It's just a stereotype, there's a lot of diversity in the aro spectrum. For example, I'm a romance ambivalent aro and I like to read and write stories with my fav ship.
  10. To have permission by signature on a simple document to receive information about health of other person.
  11. I was wearing, then I stopped, then I was wearing it again and I stopped totally. I chose wrong size and I'm this lazy to buy new one that I even didn't try to find any auction XD
  12. Of course it's possible. Aromanticism is a spectrum itself, also when we're talking about romance-coded interactions like kissing, holding hands and et cetera. As aro person you can like all, a few or be totally repulsed by them. It's even mentioned in FAQ on the AUREA's site. You don't need to worry.
  13. I'd describe it as: 'I don't care'. Because the fact I don't experience romantic attraction has more influence on my life more than other types of it.
  14. Maybe I'll create a post talking about possibility of Shikamaru Nara being aromantic is canon.
  15. I consider myself romo-ambivalent. Normally I'm romo-indifferent, but I can turn into romo-repulsed or romo-favorable, depending of a relation with other person and moment. But, in general, I think romance really works only in fiction and it should stay there.
  16. My birthday is in May, but I think it's more fair to pick 25-29 already XD
  17. Sasuke Uchiha and Shikamaru Nara. Sasuke just wanted to reconstruct his clan, never looked to be interested in dating somebody and Shikamaru… the only one thing he loved was sleeping and playing shogi.
  18. Imo, the part: seems that you're simply a teenager. In my teenager times I was like this more or less. It can be platonic or alterous attraction. There are more than two types of attraction. Also, there's nothing wrong in don't knowing which type of attraction you're experiencing and if you're having problems with naming it, just leave it like it is. From time to time, it's better to don't think about certain things. In the future maybe you'll understand what it is/was.
  19. I think I'm demiplatonic or something like this.

    Hobbies

My hobby is Brazilian football and I'm collecting many things like jerseys, scarfs, stickers – but all of it is difficult to find and expensive. Also, it happens I'm going to sleep very late because of watching matches (there's a big difference between time in my country and in Brazil). Here's a pic of some things of my collection. I prefer to hide it under 'spoiler' because I'm sure there are persons who don't like football.
  21. Yasmin Benoit, who is a British Model, is aromantic but it looks like she says mostly about asexuality.
  22. I'm personally fed up with one psychologist who created 'the definition™' of aromanticism saying that 'aromanticism means a person who doesn't want to have a romantic relationship' and doesn't want to correct it to the one made by AUREA. The worst is that people prefer to listen to him instead of me who is aromantic and activitist. It looks like allos in general prefer to listen to themselves instead of us while the topic is about us.
  23. Recently I've discovered being autistic. I don't have an official diagnose yet because it's simply expensive and there's probably no profissional near who has experience with adult neuroatypical persons.
  24. It's not 'chromosomal disorder'. Let's call it 'chromosomal diversity', because calling it 'disorder' is very harmful for intersex people. Being intersex is not a problem, the problem are unnecessary medical interventions when a person was born with atypical genitalia.
