  1. I mean the drink that is considered tea in Britain. Basically just boiled water with tea leaves and maybe some sugar, if I recall correctly? And by other teas I mean stuff like Earl Grey, Oolong, White tea, etc.
  2. That's why I think GRSM is a way better alternative to the acronym LGBTQIA+. like @2 Spirit Cherokee Princess says!
  3. Hmm, yes I can see that bit about Merida being AroAce because she has no interest in marriage. I cannot see her as being attracted to anyone in particular, sexually. I agree with your points about Elsa as well. I did see someone say that a psychologist thought Elsa might have BPD, though. https://www.rtor.org/2015/02/12/does-princess-elsa-have-borderline-personality-disorder-disneys-frozen-as-a-parable-of-emotional-dysregulation/ https://www.rtor.org/2016/02/09/does-disney-princess-elsa-have-borderline-personality-disorder-part-ii/#:~:text=In Part I of the, emotional dysregulation she feels inside.
  4. Ah, to correct myself, it is not a misunderstanding from this century. I will come back to you as to why the Quran does not actually say that, when I have a proper formed answer.
  5. I cannot recall whether or not I replied to this after I saw this for the first time, but that is a serious matter. Religious freedom exist, and I am guessing this is the USA, so there must be some action you are able to take, and can take? Can you contact the people who are responsible for roommate arrangements and complain? Have you tried to explain to the roommate why it is wrong for her to do that (which it would be, regardless of whether or not your Muslim friend in staying in that room)? Especially even more of a wrong thing to do because she lives in that room? Huh, does your Muslim friend know that you're aromantic?
  6. .....the Quran does not say the Sun moves around the Earth, though. That is false. It is a huge misunderstanding which seems to have only come up in this century, strangely (and interestingly) enough.
  7. I don't get make-up either. Fascinating stuff! I didn't know half the things here! mosty, chiefs were women? Girls used to ask the boys to dance? women fistfighing? Women being more aggressive, and men being gatekeepers (what do you mean by gatekeepers here?)? Warpaint isn't an actual thing; it was simply make-up on men? huh! Dang, long hair is that important for men, huh? I would love to know more!
  8. That sounds painful. Is it difficult to bear with it? What do you mean by click?
  9. Whoops, meant king! ^_^ sorry!
  10. I do not know much about British tea(s), or other types of teas. But I'm not a fan of the chai (whether it be separate chai or mix chai) that is drunk here in Pakistan/south Asia, nor do I particularly like doodh pati (a form of chai, one might say). As for coffee, I like it, and drink it occasionally, or I seldom drink it. Somewhere between the two. Turkish qava is nice. Also, after drinking Black coffee for the first time a while ago, I am afraid I can no longer go back to other forms of coffee drinks.
  11. What makes you think Elsa might be AroAce, and why Merida would be aromantic? TBH, I think Merida might be loveless, or is AroAce? What about Moana? Interesting bit about Isabela from Encanto. Seems legit, to me. Oh, yes, Jack! He's 18 years old, if I recall (biologically, not chronologically), so I am sure he knows what crushes are and would likely have experienced them or fallen in love one or two times by that age, so I suppose he is Aromantic, as otherwise he definitely would have noticed the Tooth Fairy's feelings for him, yes? Even if he did live in the....which century was he born in? 18th? Also Rise of the Guardians, and its source material, do deserve more attention!
  12. What's honk-lo? I get saying honk as a greeting/fun thing to say, but what's honk-lo?
  13. Who is kind? That quote seems familiar. Also, you do have to flaunt the weird, my friends!.
  14. Well, that bit about languages is interesting, and has me intrigued! Cool! Ah, I didn't know that OTOH existed, never thought of an acronym for On The Other Hand!
  15. You are explaining it wonderfully, @nonmerci ! You have done an excellent job! Yes, well, I started wondering about it, if I have ever experienced platonic attraction. I have been considering demiplatonic, that I experience platonic attraction only after a bond has been established with a person. I recently realized that my experiences of friendships and friends are not entirely like most other people's experiences of friendships/friends/platonic attraction, but not entirely like or similar to aplatonic, or those who lack platonic attraction people's experiences, either. I do not think I have ever squished on anyone. Or felt like how you described that one instance of platonic attraction. I do care about my friends, and acquaintances, and I love them, but don't mind not being with them or seeing them for a while. Though there are times when I have felt like hanging out with them or meeting up, and it does feel nice to do that. It also feels nice to be around them, but perhaps all of this is more about socialization. I have never seen a random person or stranger and felt like I wanted them to be my friends, or felt like being their friend. I have a best friend, and have a small circle of friends and acquaintances. I love them, but don't know what that kind of love is. I do not mind not knowing what that kind of love that is, or if it is platonic love (which it could be?). Can aplatonic people still love platonically?
  16. I found two articles, and I agree with them much. Most aromantic spaces are dominated mostly by AroAces, not by all aros. And often aromanticism is not seen as separate from asexuality, unfortunately. People almost always assume that you are asexual if you say you are aromantic, and never think of most aromantics as allosexuals, too. https://aroworlds.com/2019/03/22/allosexual-aromantic-erasure-a-guide/ https://aroworlds.com/allo-aro/allo-aro-101/
  17. Welp, fellow identical twin here! I am the younger one, gap of five minutes, lol. I’m very sure my sister is attracted to AMAB people only, romantically, sexually, sensually, and aesthetically, as far as I know. Me, on the other hand, lack romantic attraction, as well as sexual attraction. I also lack sensual attraction, and aesthetic attraction, as far as I know, most likely.
  18. Huh, can I know more about platonic attraction, and how you figured out you lacked platonic attraction towards people? Oh Some Reddit links I found helpful: https://www.reddit.com/r/aplatonic/comments/xvykmk/henlo_friends_what_is_it_like_being_aplatonic/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf https://www.reddit.com/r/aromantic/comments/mkwd25/trying_to_understand_the_aplatonic_spectrum/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf https://www.reddit.com/r/aromantic/comments/o8vrjq/am_i_aplatonic/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf https://www.reddit.com/r/aromantic/comments/bt0031/aplatonic_aromantic_and_asexual_i_dont_even_want/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf https://www.reddit.com/r/aromantic/comments/bti1i6/niche_terminology_im_frustrated_the_term/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf https://www.reddit.com/r/asexuality/comments/bh4f13/what_is_aplatonic/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
  19. Yes, it’s been highly encouraged to have children, but it is not fardh (not mandatory or obligatory). Nor is it fardh to marry (it is a very recommenced Sunnah, however). None of the imams of the six books of Hadith ever married, and thus, never had children. Especially the fact that many asexual and/or aromantic Muslims may not be able to fulfil the rights of their spouse, makes marriage tricky for them. See this: it is makruh (discouraged/reprehensible) for those who are not afraid of falling into sin, but are afraid of not being able to fulfill the rights of the potential spouse; and it is haram (unlawful/prohibited) for a man who cannot provide financially for his spouse, or for a man or woman who cannot fulfill the rights of their potential spouse, unless he/she informs the potential spouse of this and the spouse agrees. 20. Dude, chicken tikka masala is one of the most delicious food items in Desi cuisine. And boy, do I know about it. In Desi, and I don’t even like eating, or like food, but I have to admit, chicken tikka masala tastes amazing. Dont even me started about other kebabs, btw. Or Nihari. Or Haleem. Or arvii (taro root). Dahi ballay, or dahi baray (same thing, but some people call it by the former name, while others call it by the latter name). Also how is chicken tikka masala related to traditional Scottish food ;-; btw, the dahi ballay is supposed to be for the person who wants to reply to my comment and say whether it is yum or ew.
  21. I found this on the r/asexuality subreddit (I find it sad how the aromantic one isn’t as large or has as many resources as this does!): https://www.asexuality-handbook.com/experiences.html The platonic attraction and alterous attractions section should be separated into two different sections. That section does not even describe what alterous attraction is like, tbh. Though I understand it’s because the person doesn’t differentiate between those two attractions and feels them in similar ways. However, there is also a point that it’s not like that for everyone. https://www.asexuality-handbook.com/experiences/platonic-and-alterous-attraction.html Same goes for sensual attraction and aesthetic attraction. It’s currently one section, which doesn’t even talk about aesthetic attraction or anyone’s experience of it. Only experiences of sexual attraction are mentioned. https://www.asexuality-handbook.com/experiences/sensual-and-aesthetic-attraction.html I’ll probably message the mods about it, I guess, when I have time tomorrow. What do you guys think?
  22. Maybe it's a mesh? (a word similar to crush, but for alterous attraction).
  23. What does a spoon have to do with a disablity?
  24. Yes, well, the previous times I checked the moderator list or visited the subreddit, I was not logged in, so when I read your message and logged in on Reddit, and checked the subreddit, the moderators' names were written there. Sorry for the mix up! I have also messaged both the moderators about the post, so do not worry!
