I've noticed that a lot of people think aros don't like physical contact (hand holding, head pats, etc.), and while some don't, myself and at least some others do enjoy things like that. when i told a friend that I do like some kinds of physical contact, they were really surprised to find that I was ok with that. idk but i just don't like the conception that since things like hand holding are considered "romantic", that means that aros can't do things like that/don't like things like that.

If I'm financially stable enough, maybe one day I'd like to adopt. probably an older kid though, because I know they usually have trouble finding a home, and because I don't really like babies/younger kids. I'd just want to give the kid a good place to live and the love that they deserve. But I'd never want to be pregnant. I'm not comfortable with that.

im out to my friends and sometimes off-handedly mention it to other people sometimes if they ask. im not out to any of my family as even though they are supporting of the LGBTQIA+ community, they dont really have the best information on it sometimes (which leads them to being accidentally homophobic/transphobic/aphobic; they mean well ,they just dont know whats wrong and whats right). im planning on coming out to them soon though so hopefully that goes well

personally i like cuddling. i dont really care that its sometimes perceived as "romantic" because i do it with friends sometimes and they know that i dont consider it romantic and they dont consider cuddling to be romantic either. idk maybe thats just me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

when i was around 8 or 9, people started taking crushes seriously. honestly i thought they were made up so i just didnt care. i never ended up caring about it.

i can understand where you're coming from, i tend to present my identity differently than how i want it to be, but yes omg im so scared to say things like "theyre beautiful" in like an aesthetically pleasing way because im scared that i'll get judged or invalidated. or stuff like holding hands with a friend in a platonic way. even within my friend group, they'll overreact if i so much as remark that i found a character or an actor from a show or movie pretty. because of things like that im kinda scared to show any attraction, sometimes even if its platonic.
