Well its Johnny depp for one who has a ton of fans. The wide spread disdain for Amber and desire to see her lies exposed to the world also drives peoples attention.
Mainly because people want to see Amber and her team dig a deeper hole for themselves and people like seeing Johnny depps Jack sparrow swagger. As of typing this comment the case has not reached a verdict.
Also this case challenges social biases. If Johnny Depp wins it will show that men can also be victims of emotional / physical abuse, and manipulators. The case also represents exposing a double standard that only woman suffer abuse and should always be believed.
Thats why I think its been in the news, and why I have been watching the case over the past few months myself. Its also funny at times so theres that as well…

I sympathize with aegosexuality or fraysexuality somewhat: to me real sex vs. fantasy & masturbation is like: a nutritious meal vs. a tiny bite from a chocolate bar. 🙃 While it is not easy for me to maintain sexual attraction towards someone if things reached a "maximally escalated level", in the end real sex has waaaay more of an impact. It does not even compare. Fantasy + masturbation OTOH is "file and forget".

Wooing the romantic target with music has a very long tradition (e. g. Minnesang of the 12th century). So in this context the amount of love songs isn't so surprising. Of course, this does not answer the question how it got that way in the first place. This is honestly a mystery to me. Humans could compose songs that are about their connections to friends and family. But they simply do not do that. Now in nature, singing is something even animals (birds) do for romantic courtship. So maybe alloromantics are similarly biologically programmed for that? PS: this overabundance of songs about romantic love pushed me to Metal / Industrial, where romantic love songs are a very rare occurrence. I'm not at all fond of war☮️but I can still tolerate Manowar lyrics more than Taylor Swift lyrics.

I guess "like" vs. "love" is how alloromantics belatedly communicate that this relationship is now seriously, seriously meant to be exclusive. For whatever reason most can't state it clearly and unambiguously at the right time.

It's 100% fine to not understand the appeal of sex. But sex isn't really overrated. I mean we can say "Nirvana is overrated, blah blah there really is this 'brand' Nirvana which is so hyped up, blah tragedy of Kurt Cobain blah. The band isn't that great blah". For sex this doesn't work. We know for a fact that people really engaged in it, very, very often, always and everywhere. Until very recently in history more resources (food, shelter, ...) meant more humans. There is no fad that can last since the paleolithic and be present all over the world. PS: Nirvana was just an example, please no flamewar 😨

Well, I won't really get this achievement. Some aliens are just too cute: Attraction is easier to understand than identity. For attraction we have an emotional state that motivates a certain behavior (allosexuals tend to have sex for sex' sake). "Feeling human" seems like gender identity to me... a vague emotion that we cannot get a grasp on, because it does not connect to a specific behavior... There was a serious aspect of my last nonsense post. Shouldn't feeling connected to humans at least mean: having more instinctual, reflexive aversion to harm humans (compared to other species)? But I wonder if most humans even feel that!
