  1. It's still very simplified (because of both being a spectrum), but better this way. I had enough of seeing the comments from alloallo people saying "you can just imagine they're aro or ace!!!". Like, no, it's totally different thing and breaks the immersion if you have to still think about it instead of making it real. Also, it's like, you want to watch something in the language you're learning and the subtitles are from different series/movie (sorry if my comparision makes no sense).
  2. As a person who is disconnected from the sexuality spectrum, I disagree.
  3. It should depend of a country. I think most of people here know the situation in Poland, where I live.
  4. Which part of Europe? I've never seen it where I live. I wouldn't fill the 'sexual orientation' part or I'd add 'no sexual orientation, I'm aromantic' or something like this.
  5. At this moment it's Hidan, my favorite character from 'Naruto'. He was a missing-nin from Yugakure, his specialization in the battle were taijutsu and weapons. He's very underestimated by fandom.
  6. Mine is just my chosen name which I'm using frequently.
  7. My earliest memories are literally about being repulsed by romance in media in general. Now, as an adult, I don't mind when romance is optional, but it's always annoying to me when it's an 'important' part of them when I receive other thing in description of the game.

I was trying to draw Momoshiki Otsutsuki.
  9. There's no 'aroace privilege' and saying that aroaces are privileged is aphobic. The only thing is visibility – aroaces are more visible than other arospec persons and it doesn't make them privileged. Also, the experience of discrimination never will be the same for all parts of LGBTQ+ community, for example: cis gay never will experience transphobia, so they have to stop marginalizing the discrimination against A-spec community. If they don't experience something doesn't mean that this kind of discrimination is 'less discrimination'.
  10. No, I didn't. I have the same way of thinking about romance in fiction as I had before realizing I'm aro. Ok, I'm a shipper but I really don't enjoy when there is lot of romance in canon. I always preferred when plot has something more to show than it.
  11. Tbh, nothing special. I've made some posts linked to aromanticism and had to debunk one more time the 'popular' in my country wrong definition of it. It's really boring to have to repeat the same thing so much times and persons seem to don't understand it because they don't pay attention to aromantic persons writing about aromanticism but psychologist who wrote wrong definition on his blog, completely don't understanding the subject.
  12. That's why we need to speak louder about being aromantic and debunk myths.
  13. It makes no sense to me if perioriented heteros 'were born' and others are seen as 'they became'. I even remember being repulsed by romance and things connected to it when I was very young, then not being able to say if I was attracted romantically or platonically to someone, so there's no way of me 'becoming' aromantic. I was born aro.
  14. It can seem weird, but Hidan and Shikamaru Nara are both my comfort characters. I've returned into my very old special interest just because of Hidan and I started creating cosplay of him. Because I like them, I headcanon both as arospec.
  15. No. First of all, I'm sure I wouldn't be a good parent and other thing it's easy for me to be overstimulated.
  16. I use: Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, Discord, sameQuizy (it's a Polish site) and Instagram. I was also using Ask, but now I find it really boring.
  17. I had a fidget spinner but it broke several months after it arrived. Now as a ft I'm using a necklace, which I bought to make Hidan's cosplay.
  18. 'Asperger's syndrome' is a harmful, ableist thing and is no more in the use. It was used to categorize autistic persons as 'worse' and 'better' ('low-' and 'highfunctioning' labels are harmful in the same way), also it has direct connection to a very bad person. Autistic persons see and interpretate things in other way than allistics and the chance that an autistic person is also arospec or in other LGBTQ+ part is higher. Personally I know more neurodivergent persons who are LGBTQ+ than neurodivergent cishet and there are also some who are both autistic and arospec. I'm myself both autistic and aromantic. If your friend is interested in reading about aromanticism, I recommend to show him the AUREA's site. If he's uninterested, there's no sense to continue the conversation about it.
  19. It's better to say 'aros can be of any sexual orientation and part even don't use this label' than 'not aros are aces'.
  20. Yeah, it's difficult to find informations when doing research for the first time. Arospecs are forgotten and when we're talking about varioriented arospecs it becomes more difficult to find something.
  21. After I wrote a story with an aromantic character in it, I started to doubt if I'm alloro because almost everything seemed to be so close to me.
