paporomantic
@Zemaddog has just brought our attention to a service CaptionBot.ai (thanks!) that tries to guess what is depicted in a user-submitted image. Its guesses can sometimes be funny. Let's post images and the captions that the service generates for them. I decided to start with the standard papo smileys, as they're naturally very confusing to the bot. (To keep the captions short, let's skip the bot's standard starting phrase 'I am not really confident, but I think it's...'). The only nontrivial answer I got is, a couple of giraffes standing on their legs on a table Then, apparently, because I didn't give it a mark, the bot learned that papos are incognizable and started telling 'I really can't describe the picture ?' (even when I fed the arolove papo to it for the second time). So I tried non-papo images. Here's what nontrivial (not 'can't describe') answers I've got. a cell phone _____________________________ a close up of a teddy bear two giraffes in a fenced in area Leonard Nimoy holding a cell phone and he seems ? person holding a bird in the water and he seems ? a person on a surf board in a skate park Go on!
