Life is...

Life is cellular in structure, responsive to environmental stimuli, motile at some level, Capable of growth and development, dependent on a source of energy, and self-replicating (if you're into that sort of thing).

i'm sorry

Life is like a cat : it doesn't give a fuck about you most of the times but they will occasionely either scratch or cuddle you to death..

It takes advantage of you, makes you clean up its shit and it goes on even if you're not with it.

Life is too short to worry about the pearl-clutching of people who take the 'everyone is so selfish now' thing way too far and imply everyone should be some kind of slave to everyone else (i.e. if you want to live on your own terms/not have children/not get married, even if you don't exclusively care about yourself only, apparently that's still being selfish according to some...)

Life is like drawing a picture. You try so hard, but if never turns out the way you want it to. And yet, regardless of that, you just can't stop, and try and try again.

What comes out isn't what you intended, but is usually beautiful in it's own way none the less.

I see you've seen my attempts at drawing!

Seriously though; maybe it's just me being above the average age of people here but the first 18 years of life is really only the undercoat on the canvas of your life. Which isn't to say the first 20 years of your life isn't important - it is! But there's plenty chance to change the decisions you make too. There's so much pressure to get everything just right on the first try but no one ever does or even can. It's the mistakes that add character and interest to the painting.
