  1. HelloThere

    Is this normal?

I don’t really think it’s a crush, the reaction doesn’t determine your feelings, for example for like a day I thought I had a crush on this guy in my class (I’m a guy as well so that’s extra awkward because that didn’t feel right) and then I just realized that this wasn’t the symptoms of a crush, maybe not even a squish for all I know. I didn’t want romance, dating, none of that crap. I just wanted to be around this person because I found them interesting. XD
  2. Yeah, I’m not one able to judge but it doesn’t sound like you want to date that person as much as you are afraid of losing the friendship. I’m not really sure but it doesn’t sound like the “conventional” crush.
  3. I used to walk to the bus stop coming up with stupid rhymes. I’m not gonna write it down but it still mentally hurts me to this day that I can remember that when I was 8 but I can’t remember the name of someone I’ve known for over a year in my Gym class. XD
  4. That’s awesome! I’m glad to see it worked out pretty well! I’d love to get a white aro ring myself just because it feels right ya know? I mean I’d wait a year or two because I’m not really sure enough if I’m aro but I’d do it when I got the confidence, and finance. :D
  5. I think that maybe if you tell that person that they’re being shipped, they may be able to tell others and sorta pressure them into learning not to do that?
  6. Well romantically yeah, I’m fine. I’m only 15 and I know I don’t want to live alone, maybe just a qpr with a friend who has the same occupation as me when the time comes. :D
  7. Yeah, my biggest fear isn’t that I won’t feel anything and it’ll just fail. It’s that I’ll make that person feel really bad and then there’s not even a chance of being friends.
  8. I’m about 15, here we call kids in their 9th year “freshman” we do have a vending machine or two but I never see anyone hang around those. We don’t even get to leave school for food because it’s all so far away. I guess that there isn’t much of a good way to see other aros in the wild here. XD I will keep an eye out for white rings and aro flags though. :D
  9. Yeah you’re right, I really just hate being wrong, I mean it hasn’t made me bias my experiences but it has just made me worry for the future. XD
  10. I mean, it does make sense to me but my big worry is that I just may be wrong at some point and then every time I look at high school I’m gonna remember that one SUPER self embarrassing time when I thought I was. I mean everything lines up so far and I can’t even imagine myself marrying but I’m afraid that if I identify as aro now, it may somehow leak to my parents and I’ll be forced to tell them long before I’m ready.
  11. 1: -Now: Probably a REALLY good cheeseburger, fries with honey mustard, and a Hi-C. I’m sorry I’m just super American when it comes to food. XD -Before: Not really sure. Possibly pasta? 2: -Now: Cheesecake (seriously the biggest giga chad in deserts. -Before: Probably cake (ah yes, the signature ace food even though I’m pretty darn sure I’m not ace) 3: -Now: Easily Interstellar, I just loved it so much! It had good plot (though it took ages to finish) it had THE Hans Zimmer making the music and it was just amazing! Best part is: it doesn’t focus specifically on romance, more on familial love, it didn’t even have anyone kissing! :D -Before: Probabky the incredibles! A cinematic masterpiece that practically held up my childhood. :D 4: -Now: Probably the Owl House. It’s got such good representation while also maintaining the plot! The characters change very well and it’s pretty original in my opinion! :D -Before: Possibly this one political show called “Madam Secretary” basically it’s about this lady who was an ex-cia college professor who gets called to become the Secretary of State by the president (he was an old friend of hers) and they fix loads of global issues and stuff! 5: -Now: I’d say probably the wings of fire series, it’s something I still feel dumb for liking but if I can admit the possibility I’m aro here, I can say I like a book series. XD -Before: probably Harry Potter, it was just one of my favorites for a while. 6: Now and before: I don’t really have a favorite. There’s just too much to choose from and 90% of them just HAVE to be about romance. 7: Now and before: Easily the dog, they just unconditionally exist to love you. They only really make a mess by instinct and they actually love you back. 8: Now: Probably Minecraft still but I haven’t played in a while. :( Before: easily Mario kart, it was like THE childhood game for me. 9: Now: Probably drawing, I just find it fun to be able to make stuff on my own without using materials other than a pencil or paper. Before: Gaming, I still love gaming but I just haven’t done it much recently. 10: Now: It’s illegal for school buses to be yellow on wednesdays. Before: I have no fricking idea. XD
  12. If your dads available, maybe try and drop more hints on him (or maybe other mom, ya never know) and tell him first if you think he’d react more positively. But just not much longer before. Maybe just test how each of them feel about it?
  13. Yeah I know, I’m kinda split on the subject because every time I think I’d go on a date with that person I realize that I really just want a friend. It’s been a bit of a mental block trying to figure out if I should or shouldn’t date just to see.
  14. I’m a little too young to be at a supermarket, anything for school?
  15. I’m not a huge drama fan (nor can I speak Japanese) but it sounds cool. :D
  16. That’s pretty interesting actually. Though depending on the place you live I can imagine how your parents wouldn’t want a dog. I mean I’m not gonna make any assumptions on your mom but she sounds kinda toxic? I don’t want to make any offensive statements but that’s just how it sounds so far and I’m sure that your mom’s a good person.
  17. Perhaps whenever you drop a big question on parents and they just ignore it?
  18. Yeah, I guess that you can’t really date if you don’t actually want to date. I guess I’m mentally forcing myself to consider it because after all “YoU cAn’T bE sUrE uNtIl YoU dAtE!1!!1”
  19. Just to be sure you’re talking about the owl house right?
  20. That my friend is a question I didn’t realize I’d have a hard time answering. The only thing my brain can come up with is random cliches from movies and tv. Even internet definitions don’t explain it well enough, maybe it’s just intangible? I’m not really sure. Isn’t that just a crush?
  21. I feel like I just have an easier time relating to friends not pursuing crushers, which is exactly why all my life I’ve been with the “nerd” group, they’re just more fun and can talk about random memes and stuff for hours. It’s honestly the best. XD
  22. Yeah tbh it’s weird. Like when I was around 8 I told a friend that I wanted to “marry them and have 8 kids.” XD Looking back though that was just how I was trying to say “I like being near you as a friend.” 😅
  23. It’s take a few generations to get a Dyson sphere running and it might require stripping the planet entirely bare so volcanic activity as a result of mining may be a possibility. 🤷‍♂️
  24. I do want one but I’m not really sure enough of myself, nor have I communicated my concerns with my parents but when the time comes, oh frick yeah, I am definitely getting a white one just so no one asks questions. :D
  25. So I’m in a little dilemma. I’m 15, I don’t know if I experience romantic attraction at all and I kinda don’t want to. But I just want to check in some way by asking some random friend of mine if they wanna go on a date. I mean yes, I’d tell them my concerns because you know, it’s kinda manipulative if you don’t but that’s still be awkward to explain and either way I’d feel guilty. So should I just keep that idea in my pocket or throw it out entirely?
