I’m from Poland. There’s a stereotype saying Polish people are drinking a lot of alcohol, especially vodka. I personally don’t like alcohol in any type. Other stereotype is Poland being full of people who tolerate diversity. The fact is many people here are xenophobic, rasist and queerphobic. I think a part of you already heard what is happening since last year. I’m living in a small city and I was working in a shop where one black woman was frequently doing shopping with her daughter and every time she entered I was worried about them or something like this.

I know this feeling very well. I thought I can trust to one person, everything looked it is on good way to make a qpr but without any warning the person started to ignore me and was very cold towards me. I was ready to support them anytime they would want to and they treated me like a toy that can be tossed if you’re bored with it. They didn’t care about my feelings and being fair. It happened recently, a few days ago and ended up yesterday’s evening. I was like: ’how could you thinking about dating somebody when you had me very close and I was ready to do many things to make you feel better’. These type of experiences are making me think ’I’m not enough to them’.

Well, I’m into real person slash but I’m not obsessive with it. I like making ships but I’m leaving it on fanfiction level. For example, I’m really impressed by friendship of Gabriel Barbosa and Bruno Henrique, I love seeing them happy with their companionship and yeah, I ship them but as I said, I’m leaving my shipper side in things I’m writting. When I’ve seen a post of Gabi telling about their friendship and ending it the description with ’I love you’ I was like: ’aww, they’re so close and aren’t hidding it, I’d love to have a friend like they’are having each other’.

First ’A’ stands for asexuals and the second ’A’ stands for aromantics (or, if somebody wants, the first one is for aces and aros and the second one is for agender persons). Allies shouldn’t be included in the acronym because LGBT means ’not cisheteronormative’, so putting allies doesn’t make any sense. The good ally knows they’re not a part of community, they’re using their cishetero privilege to help us to battle for equality and it’s not about them. If I’m supporting black people in their fight for their rights, it doesn’t make me black because I’m not black, I’m still white and not a member of their community. It’s exactly the same situation but the sides are different.

33% aro, 33% demisexual. It doesn’t make any sense for me, I’m aro ace. I don’t know the author but it looks like they doesn’t get the difference between being aro and ace, and the whole test isn’t constructed well.

I have never been interested in romantic relationships and I didn’t like watching cartoons, TV series or movies when there were romantic scenes, it was always discomfortable for me. But on the other hand, when I was a teenager I desired to have a romantic partner but I think it wasn’t really me, but social espectations. Other thing is it could be only caused by the fact my parents were ignoring my needs and I needed to have a person to hug and do things like it.

I’m aware of being aromantic for several months, but I’ve seen enough to agree. I’ve seen a lot of arophobia in LGBT community in my country and one situation stuck in my head and I can’t forget it. There were two nonbinary persons who said: ’ah, yeah, asexuality is normal, but it’s not normal to be aromantic. These people are psychopats/sociopaths! They don’t have feelings!’ I’ve reported it to admins and they removed the topic but I can’t erase it from my mind. The lack of information about aromanticism made me to start educating people in minorities of minorities, including intersex. And I’m planning to make a channel on YouTube to talk about arospec and being aro. I’d like to start to be an aromantic activitist in my country.

Hi! My name is Rony, I’m enby aro ace from Poland. My hobbies are Brazilian soccer, collecting items and creating computer graphics. I love coffee and cats. During writing a fanfiction I decided to put an aromantic character and I asked on one group if there are any aros who could share their experiences because I couldn’t understand anything from definitions.
