I just got my aroace pin in the mail! I really like it and I’m excited to put it on my bag. Anyone else have aro/ace trinkets?

A couple years ago I made a list of things I wanted to do with my life and I remember putting getting married on there because that’s a thing I’m supposed to want to do. But it never felt right or like an actual want and now I know why.

I’m similar, sometimes it’s fine and I even have couples I really like and love their love. But, sometimes I can’t stand romance and it’s annoying. I tend to like romance that starts from friendships. I can’t think of many specific things that I don’t like besides when the characters don’t have much depth and story outside of the romance.

I’m from the Midwest, USA. Yes, there’s a lot of corn. I live on my family’s farm somewhat in the middle of nowhere. While it might not have the best landscapes in the USA, there are beautiful forests, prairies, and creeks around. We definitely have problems but, I’m happy to live here.

One book I always recommend is A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. I love the story, artwork, all of it.

I am the second child of four. I have an older sister and two younger brothers. I don’t know of anyone in my family that’s LGBT+ but there could be.

I haven’t talked about it much but, yesterday at work some coworkers and I were talking about weddings and marriage and I said I sometimes thought about my wedding but only the party aspect of it because I don’t plan on getting married. One of them said I’d find someone and I said that’s not really what I want. I didn’t use the word aromantic because I didn’t feel like discussing all that but I just said I wasn’t interested in relationships. She seemed a little confused but said that’s fine and I should do whatever makes me happy.

Ever since I was a little kid playing house with my baby dolls and as I got older and imagined my future, I never had a husband. It was just me and my kids.

I put suspected disability but not certain. I don’t consider myself disabled but I am not able bodied. I have a few chronic health conditions that can sometimes affect me significantly and other times I can be fine.

Hello, I’m a twenty something girl who discovered that I’m aro ace earlier this year. I have never had an interest in dating or had any crushes. Around a year or so ago before I knew about aromanticism, I had pretty much made peace with the fact that I probably wasn’t going to be the relationship/ get married type. So once I started researching asexuality and aromanticism, I knew it fit me. I still have moments of wishing I wanted romance and marriage because I enjoy it in movies and such but it’s not for me. I’m on AVEN too but I never see that much aro talk on there so I found this forum. A little bit about me My username is a Good Place reference. It’s one of my favorite tv shows. I am a pastry chef. I like vintage fashion and I’ve been slowly working on adding it into my style. I love animals and I have two wonderful doggos.
