Oh man, I hate it when that happens! Luckily I have unlimited data on my family’s phone plan so I’m safe… for the most part.

I wish you all the best; hopefully you have something to entertain yourself until the Internet comes back, otherwise it’s going to be a rough few days for you.

  3. So you're saying what makes us different also allows us to think outside the box.
  4. "You call us savages? What does that make [you]?"-Tatanka Iotanka AKA Sitting Bull. "If you do nothing, nothing can go wrong!" -from Bean the Movie.
  5. Indian Givers by Jack Weatherford. It describes the many contributions my people made to world culture. Do you like chocolate, vanilla, strawberries, peanut butter, potato chips, soft drinks, gum, avocados, popcorn, pumpkin spice, chili peppers, most of the food you eat, most of the medicines you use, the movement to protect the environment & a democracy where women & poor people can vote (among many, many other things)? You're welcome.

My dad was married 3 times, but he sat me down & said he was worried about me not wanting to go on dates like the other teenagers. ?
  7. My BFF said this song perfectly describes our friendship:

I made it through.  After that unbelievable heat it went down to the 60s that night.  Today it only got up to 90--and I can't believe that I'm saying 90 degrees is an improvement!

  9. The papa that means father is Spanish; papa as a name for the vegetable is borrowed from Quechua--the language of the Incas who discovered & cultivated the "potatoes" we eat today.
  10. Actor Patrick McGoohan was likely demiromantic. Those who knew him said he loved his wife dearly, but he refused any role that involved kissing or love scenes.
  11. Things are picking up on Arocalypse.
  12. It's a lot more active now. I'm getting notifications every time I come here, & there are almost always other members on the site.
  13. My notifications were confusing today because there are 2 topics I follow called "Aro memes," & there were posts in both.
