  1. I'm not so bothered by people not showing affection towards me. I've gotten used to doing unappreciated or thankless work too, and at least I don't have to say "thanks" and such. 😸
  2. I've made a life-long tradition of not celebrating Valentine's, and I ain't gonna stop anytime soon. 😼
  3. (Feel Good Inc. - Gorillaz) (Superfast Jellyfish - Gorillaz)
  4. I've been told I don't know how to feel too. But I think I'd prefer an institution telling me they love me than some random person who doesn't even know me either.
  5. I'm very much an Americanized Americanised Brit, with significant Scottish and Irish ancestry. Many people would probably describe me as "Bohemian" or a "weeaboo" however. As a millennial here, we're often expected to less conventionally social. I am apparently such because I'm introverted and relatively asocial, yet I don't like socialising over the phone. Online dating isn't my thing, and anything like speed-dating even less. Only the younger generations are likely to give me less gripe about my lack of love life, but so far I've been pretty lucky when it comes to romantic harassment and pressures. I'm fortunate to be in country which is less concerned about unmarried and sexless relationships, than many others. Britain is multi-religious, Christian dominant, but also a pretty safe harbour for agnostics and atheists. It still has unbalanced or unfair laws and benefits though, which favour married couples over everyone else. Tl;dr - I'm multi-cultural.

  7. People literally complaining about the price of cheese here. All the time. Even though there's plenty of other affordable foods for them. Never mind that millions of people on the other side of Europe are suffering immensely, not to mention many millions of others around the world still in real poverty.
  8. Next challenge: Stay as the newest comment.
  9. "Ew." - Crowley, Supernatural
  10. I'm collecting instrumentals from Red Hot Chili Peppers and Spice Girls, for curryoke night.
  11. While it fluctuates, I feel closer to aromatic than asexual. Still, getting in a sexual relationship would be no less of a leap than just a romantic one. I can develop squishes more easily, and I experience aesthetic attraction. But being drawn into a sexual or romantic relationship? That takes a lot of time and unwavering trust and positive feelings.
  12. "Galaxy" comes from the Greek word "galaxias", meaning "milky", so-called because galaxies visible to the naked eye typically appear as a milky smear in the night sky. Bare in mind they would've been more prominent before the days of rampant light-pollution, and pollution for that matter. An arm of our Milky Way can also be seen this way too. As for the story of the formation of the Milky Way, I'll spoiler this with a warning of body fluids:
  13. I didn't realise this until now, thanks for reminding me. Sadly though, it's probably too late to order anti-sick pills. Never mind, there may be some discounted chocolate around the corner...silver lining and all that.
  14. It's funny the amount of stooff they never teach us at school. Some of the oldest stories are more eyebrow-raising than most today. I bet the vast majority don't even know where the names for "galaxy" and the "Milky Way" came from and the myth of its creation behind it. Even I only found out this decade, despite being interested in both mythologies and space. 😅 Another thing they probably still don't often teach is that Jesus was actually mentioned in the Quran also, and stated as a prophet, a man of God, or even that he was Jewish.
  15. The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in
Engines stop running, the wheat is growing thin
A nuclear era, but I have no fear
    'Cause London is drowning
    I, I live by...somewhere else
