  1. Well, this was just a first attempt, so if you have any ideas...? Otherwise I probably would want to simplify the shield even further. I mean the space for the icon is really tiny.
  2. Thanks! The frogs were all originally drawn by @Nix . See the file list.txt for who created what. I just did the totally uncreative work of vectorizing them. ๐Ÿ™ƒ
  3. This is very, very nasty! Like kicking someone when they are already on the ground. Or a fatality from Mortal Kombat: DIE ... QUEEN! BTW, I bear no ill will against the Queen, but the coverage even outside of the UK is 24 / 7. And she and the Royal Family still dominate the headlines (from respectable newspapers, not yellow press)... Because yeah, that's the biggest challenge of our times: to come to grips with her death. ๐Ÿ˜• Something that is actually of NO consequence for the greater scheme of things.
  4. Finding the main character from Resident Alien (= the alien) strangely relatable when it comes to human romance.
  5. This comes pretty close to my imagination. With one exception: a true faithful believer would, no matter how uncomfortable it's up there on the scepter, never show it that obviously. According to many scholars, religions need hard-to-fake public expressions of costly commitments. So yeah, we have that checked: To be put on the scepter for three hours is our most sacred duty.
  6. PS: simplified version (removed grain + removed some nails + removed transparency of the paint): 124 x 135 px (no anti-aliasing): 531 x 571 px (with anti-aliasing):
  7. I like the middle shield in the lower row the most. It will probably still look good as a small icon. I also did one, already SVG. so in smaller sizes: I got a bit carried away and the SVG ended up too complex. I can simplify it a bit and at least remove the wood grain. The frog hands IMHO should look like this:
  8. ๐Ÿ™ƒ you did it twice: But why not take it literally? Reminds me of Alexa Meade's works... Living sculptures! And we will pay good money for those fellow aros. Much above minimum wage!
  9. ooops, I meant "without Invision converting them to PNGs", of course. ๐Ÿ™ƒ
  10. I don't know the Invision admin area. But the the shield / hand icons are FontAwesome glyphs (this font is loaded into the browser). So they're definitely vectorised. Don't know how easily they can be replaced. Also on the Invision board, you can check that they use SVG badges there. So it seems possible without Invision converting them to PNGs. Of course, the SVG files I upload are Inkscape SVGs with some peculiarities and should preferably be opened with Inkscape and exported again as a plain SVG. PS: This board is now overflowing with frogs... I'm slowly starting to doubt that this was a good idea... ๐Ÿ˜‰
  11. I wonder how this is supposed to work, but oh, ok... ๐Ÿ™ƒ
  12. Very much depends. Supermarket quality is ewww. Candied ginger?
  13. The philosopher Daniel Dennett popularized the term deepity and gave the example: "love is just a word". A deepity is a statement that can be interpreted in two ways: as a trivial truth OR as a profound but false claim. So is "love is love" a deepity, too?
  14. Doesn't this study contradict your claims? Why post it as evidence, twice? If you want to be envious of women "because they have more dating options," then please go ahead. But no problem is solved by convincing other people of your perspective. I kind of feel this is an attempt to construct an argument against feminism. But this is an aro board. Not /r/AskFeminists. Two different things, seriously!
  15. Love them all, just as I imagined them. Further inspirations: Thanks, yes, I already know this method. GIMP also has these capabilities. And Inkscape has quite good automatic vectorization, too. But in the end nothing beats manual vectorization. In comparison, even the best automatic vectorization is simply subpar. And the aro frogs deserve the very best, for sure! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Please forgive me, but I find it amusing that the vectorization of your professional work (semi-automatic vectorization) got less attention than the aro frogs. Wow, this is GREAT!! ๐Ÿ’š Aro frog revolution! It's even in the aro color scheme!
  16. At least I discovered some new music in passing... I wonder if this can be done much faster... I doubt it. Any tips? I'm not a professional vectorizer (what a job... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ) but I'm experienced in creating vector drawings, I'm quite fast. I wanted do this faithfully. The main difficulty was your varying stroke. With a constant stroke it would've taken a much shorter time: The bezier curves from a detail from ... so as you see it was rather involved. When I directly draw myself, I use a graphics tablet and the Inkscape calligraphy tool. It's my work, I don't have to perfectly fit a given stroke. I just increase pressure a bit for a thicker stroke and Inkscape creates the bezier curves for me. But here I had to use mouse + bezier tool to directly create them. Thanks for setting the frogs free for all the aros!
  17. I even wonder if it was really necessary for . But I didn't mind doing it. Took me a bit less than 3 hours. And everyone can use the high-quality vector frogs, which you can find here. Have them printed on a t-shirt or a mug!! Oh, btw @Nix what should the license be? I would suggest a CC license. I always use CC BY, but there are more restrictive ones.
  18. After spending all my time posting eeewww to British food, now comes a long something British that seems tasty and ........ I'm too late.
  19. The space for those icons is very small. So I'm still for a shield and not a whole frog warrior. But this sleek shield icon we have now looks indeed out of place. Anthropomorphic fantasy reptiles don't use shields like medieval knights. But ones made from wood, leather or scales; and colorful with "tribal" decorations (reminiscent of Native American medicine shields). So now you know the cliche. I'm kind of for a turtle shell shield. The frog hand OTHO is easy!

Now that AI generated art has won a fine arts competition, you'd think that at least nobody has to do manual image vectorization anymore, which is not very creative. ๐Ÿ™‚ But the quality of automatic vectorization is still so much inferior. It is like the algorithm has no feeling for the strokes and smoothes out important corners while overemphasizing sharp turns that are just an artifact of the low resolution. Aardvark Samurai (generated by Pixray) ... disturbing ๐Ÿคจ
  21. Ok, ok, admittedly I never ate one.

I promised it, so I'll deliver. Please wait till Saturday. This is rather dull work. ๐Ÿ˜€
