  1. Marriage a long time ago had little if anything to do with romance. Most were of convenience because people were expected to marry and women had no standing in society and often were forced to marry. In modern times a lot of people don't marry at all for various reasons. You could only count someone who never married if there was some quote that said they never felt a desire or something to be in a relationship with another person.
  2. This is a pretty good illustration as to why INTJs hate social media. Ask a simple question like what is your Myers Brigg type and ...
  3. My intention in posting this was to have a little fun comparing people and not as a debate on the validity or weaknesses.
  4. What's your Myers Briggs type? I'm INTJ
  5. I sometimes think I'm not asexual but that sex just isn't important to me and I avoid it because to me it's a part of a relationship, which is something I don't desire.
  6. Romance and sex have been thought of as related to each other by the majority of the world's population for centuries. It's not surprising that's what someone would think.
  7. I think people are attractive but I never think about having sex with them.
  8. I'm bad because I fit the stereotypes of being aloof and emotionally cold, those things aros try to distance themselves from
  9. As a teenager I just was never interested in dating anyone. It was something I just never thought about at all even through college. I was very indifferent to it even though all my friends had boyfriends and girlfriends. I only started thinking about when my family started pressuring me after I graduated college and never had dated anyone. My father used to call me weird and said something was wrong with me.
  10. I'm not repulsed by it but I don't want to see it. I'm more irritated by straight people because society thinks it's ok for them to be all over each other in front of everyone but they want to throw rocks if a gay couple just holds hands. Other than that I'm pretty indifferent about it all.
  11. @Syao sometimes I'd rather people think I'm a robot rather than a human. Have you met humans?
  12. When you're really into a character because they have no romantic interest in anyone and they're happy and living their life and then BAM love interest out of nowhere. And you just sit there with your mouth hanging open thinking, "What the hell!"
  13. Penelope Pussycat, the cat that's always running away from Pepe le Pew, seems pretty damn aromantic
  14. I just don't use the word "attraction" when I describe myself. I say "I have no romantic feelings for anyone." Because I wouldn't say I'm not attracted to anyone. But I just don't have romantic feelings.
  15. First I admit I've seen Frozen. I notice everyone makes a big deal about Elsa but I actually saw Kristoff as aromantic. He seemed pretty content just living his life with Sven and didn't seem to have any romantic inclinations toward Anna. They of course ruin it in the end though.
  16. But doesn't this happen with EVERY show?
  17. It's just a fancy made-up word for being single because no one wants to date you and you're just trying to make yourself sound special.
  18. I rarely have the problem of getting hit on. Must be my resting bitch face.
  19. Thinking you want a girlfriend or boyfriend because everyone you know has one. Then you start talking to someone and you realize once again that it is not what you want. And a long time period passes and the it all happens again the same way.
  20. Anything but this. I don't know why people think the AVEN definition of asexuality is so perfect. It's awkward. No one speaks like this. No one is going to tell another person, "I don't experience sexual attraction." You ever hear a gay man tell someone "I experience sexual attraction toward other men"?
