  1. Everybody was always telling me that I should play more with the children of my agab and made weird jokes about the people of the opposite gender that were my friends. I would hate any storyline containing romance and abandon the book/movie. Also, when playing truth or dare, I would never know how to choose to be in love with, because I didn't realize that others don't choose to be in love with a person.

  3. False. The person below me reads fanfiction.
  4. I think I'm an empathic person -- or at least my therapist does -- and this is basically exactly what's going on. When another person feel joy, I feel joy. When another person is angry, I get angry. Now the thing is, when talking about heartbreak with an alloromantic, we gotta break it down to the basic emotions: Anger, pain and sadness in most cases. These we can connect with. So whilst we can't understand the concept of heartbreak itself and might even think of it as silly, we can still understand it when changing the situation a bit. For example: Your best friend you came out to outed you against your will and declared that they want nothing to do with you anymore. This will lead to feelings such as anger, pain and sadness -- very similar to a broken heart, just without the romantic connotations. We can't experience the emotion itself, but we can come close to understanding it, if we try enough to understand it. And making that effort is basically, what your friend will see when they talk to you about their heartbreak and they will see that you care. If instead you brush them off entirely by saying "not my problem; romance is silly anyway" it will just lead to resentment on both sides. Generally, if you want allos to make an effort to understand what you're feeling (or in this case maybe not feeling), you gotta try and make an effort to understand what they're feeling. Neither side will completely comprehend the other side's feelings and that's impossible. But that doesn't have to ruin any relationships you have with allos.
  5. 1. I first thought I was straight and weird, because everybody was straight. Then I heard about the fact, that there were people who didn't like the other gender and decided to identify as homosexual, because I wasn't interested in the other gender, ignoring the fact, that I also wasn't interested in my own gender. For some time I then thought that I was bi, but then I discovered asexuality and the gender-spectrum and aromantism. 2. I heard about the fact that there are several ways to classify attraction on AVEN, so I started identifying as Asexual homoromantic, because I didn't want to be aromantic. Only later on I found myself accepting the label and in time coming to love it. 3. For me, my Aromantism and Asexuality are closely related, because they are a package of "not interested". But I do want a QPR one day, so that's seperated from my Aro/Ace-ness.
  6. Oh boy, the first movie I watched in cinema was "Tangled" and I was so scared I had to leave during the movie. I wasn't able to rewatch it until I was 15. Also, this whole "Hunger Games" thing (I can't remember the name right now, the movie with Katniss Everdeen) freaked me out so much, I had nightmares for years afterwards, even when I started watching scarier movies, that is still the scariest one I've seen so far.
  7. I like to take luke-warm showers. Just warm enough to be comfortable.
  8. So, I know these aren't all the orientations you'll find out there, so just select whichever fits best I'm curious about how the statistics will be. ~Luca
  9. I have persistant depressive disorder, panic disorder and mild OCD diagnosed and suspect ADHD, anxiety disorder and being somewhat autistic.
  10. I believe that all religions and their gods exist to some extent. For me, there's this force we can't comprehend as humans, so we try to explain it away with religion. Some people prefer to have this whole force as their one and only God, others prefer to view it in it's different aspects, creating polytheistic religions. Personally, I like to picture this force as the Norse Gods, with me having worshipped them for years now, Loki in particular, since he helped me understand my gender and that one doesn't have to conform to what everyone wants you to be.
