I came out to my friend! And she's supportive! :D I've been busy with finals so I couldn't post this earlier We were in the woods and then she was like "let's talk about love" and I was a bit hesitant but she talked about the LGBTIA+ community (in a positive way!!) and she said that she likes guys and asked me for who I like. And I was silent for a bit but then I said "well I don't like anyone in a romantic or sexual way" and I told her that it's called "aromantic asexual" and she told me she's alright with it!! It was honestly such a relief to finally tell someone I trust

The algorithm is trained by stealing art from all across the internet without the artist's permission, which means that they gain no money from it. I used to love hugs as a kid but after unfortunate things (a***e) I started getting very anti-touch. No hugs, no holding hands, just fist bumps and high fives. I can't remember when I last hugged someone.

I know this is an aro forum, but since many of us are also aces or acespec, I decided to share this small bit about asexuality and discrimination I found on the Finnish wikipedia page. Directly translated: "According to an article in Psychology Today, asexuals were the most dehumanized (considered less than human) sexual minority. According to the study, asexuals are dehumanized in two ways: they are considered either machine-like or animal-like." I find this really, really weird and sad. Do people actually think aces are machines or animals? Any thoughts or experiences?

Your teacher is probably narrow minded. We were taught about asexuality in health ed, and the worst response was from the other students. No, it doesn't! I don't understand what about aromanticism is so hard to understand. No Karen, I don't feel that way, and many and I mean MANY people don't feel romantic love either. And yes, I agree with Decaying Vegetables that she shouldn't be teaching
