    CAPSLOCKIA

HELLO, I AM CAPSLOCKIAS OFFICIAL MAGICIAN, LET ME WELCOME YOU TO OUR WONDERFUL SOMEWHAT DEAD COUNTRY CAPSLOCKIA, BECAUSE NOBODY ELSE SEEMS TO DO THIS BECAUSE MAYBE EVERYONE DIED OR WHATEVER, I DON'T KNOW. WE ARE A CONSTITUTIONAL MONARCHY WITH OUR KING BEING XERCES BLUE AND OUR PRIME MINISTER BEING SPUD. THOSE TWO WOULD ALSO BE THE ONES WHO WOULD BE ABLE TO OFFICIALLY DECLARE YOU CHIEF JUSTICE OF THE SUPREME COURT, BUT I'M NOT SURE HOW ACTIVE THE TWO STILL ARE. OUR KING MIGHT BE HARD TO REACH, PROBABLY REALLY BUSY BEING A KING OR SOMETHING OR MAYBE DEAD TOO LIKE MOST OF THIS COUNTRY, BUT MAYBE OUR PRIME MINISTER CAN BE SUMMONED (@Spud)
  2. I won't be online until October. Neither here nor on discord. Because lots of fun stuff is happening  ^_^

Unfortunate you can't come online, but I'm happy you're gonna have a nice time! Have fun ;3

  3. It's like gender and sex don't exist in my dreams. In every dream that I remember it's just not a thing I think about or notice etc. It's as if my body is completely sexlessand so is everyone else. All sex characteristics primary and secondary seem to be completely gone. Nobody ever seemed to have a specific gender or at least I didn't know about it. I also think that I've never experienced pronouns being used for people in my dreams. The only actual experience of gender in my dreams was about a spider (not a nightmare, it was a friendly spider) and I just knew the spider was s he. No reason, I just knew it, which was kinda weird for me.
  4. I was with a bunch of aces at pride and me and some other aros among us were wearing aro flags and we were approached by surprisingly many people who told us they recognized the ace flag, but had no idea what "the green one" stands for. So we got to educate lots and lots of people who have never heard of aromanticism or romantic orientations. And everyone who asked was really nice and interested and glad to learn things. So that's what I/we did at pride to spread awareness. And I can recommend to just be present with a flag or a t-shirt or a sign that spreads awareness. People will see you and people will ask about it which gives you the perfect opportunity to educate What it consists of here is basically a week full of events. I for example to a few talks about queer topics and also something similar to a drag show (but I'm pretty sure there's a difference). Then there are lots of stands from different LGBTQ+ organizations etc. and probably food (I haven't really been there, all we did there was squish ourselves through the crowd while trying to not lose anyone which we didn't succeed at) And of course a pride parade I did encounter people wo laughed at my orientation while I was standing right in front of them, but most people were really genuinely nice and I'm planning to go to another pride later this month with some of the same ace group ALSO WHY DOES YOUR PRIDE COST MONEY??? It's free here unless you want to actually have your own group in the parade or something.
  5. PRIDE WEEK IS SO GREAT SO FAR :gasp: Why are all those aces such adorable small lovable human beings with such a great sense of humor? Also we'll probably be the biggest group of aces who ever walked in a German pride parade :clapping: And I found someone to borrow me their aro flag for it :aropride::arolove:

P.S.: I'm not on discord for I don't know how long because I currently have no laptop charger.

    CAPSLOCKIA

YELLING DOESN'T HAVE TO BE STRESSING, YELLING CAN ALSO JUST BE SHOWING YOUR EXCITEMENT AND THAT IS AMAZING!!!
  7. The Bundestag, the German parliament, voted to legalize same-sex marriage today ^_^ There are still many LGBTQ+ rights that still need to be fought for (especially when it comes to transgender and intersex people), but this is definitely a step in the right direction :D

    CAPSLOCKIA

OH GOD, I HAVEN'T BEEN ON AROCALYPSE IN A WHILE AND CAPSLOCKIA HAS ALREADY TURNED INTO SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT. WOW!
  9. I tried to log into discord, but it doesn't send me this location verification e-mail. So if it takes me a while to get back on discord that might be the reason :/

  10. Hi, I'm still alive in case anyone was wondering. I just currently have no internet and I am 90% sure that my internet cable must be broken (no, I don't have wifi -_-) and I'm just too lazy to get my butt to the store and buy a new one

AND THEN THERE IS MY RANDOM (BUT NOT REALLY THAT RANDOM) USERNAME THAT SOME TIME AGO SOME PEOPLE ON AVEN SHORTENED TO PEN AND NOW THAT LOVELY NAME GETS COMPLETELY RUINED BY PEOPLE WITH NAMES LIKE "PENCE" OR "LE PEN" LIKE IT MAKES ME SERIOUSLY CONSIDER CHANGING MY USERNAME, BUT I'M SO USED TO THIS ONE, I LIKE THIS ONE AND ALSO I NEED TO KEEP POOR PENPAPO ALIVE AND NO ONE NEEDS SPACES IN USERNAMES, SPACES BELONG INTO SPACE NOT IN USERNAMES, THERES A LOT MORE SPACE FOR SPACES IN SPACE THAN THERE IS IN USERNAMES WITH THOSE CHARACTER LIMITS.
  12. No, that's aromanticism. The adjective aromantic is aromantisch in German and I think the aromantic as in the person is called Aromantiker (which I can't get used to, for some reason I think Aromantiker sounds really weird )

    CAPSLOCKIA

WOW PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY POSTING HERE AGAIN
  14. I think I might wear a pride bracelet in the hope that someone notices it and asks about it, so I can subtly come out to them and educate them and spread awareness. Maybe I'll also tell people not that subtly about it. Who knows, I guess I'll just do what I can and what I'll be comfortable with. (Also maybe but just maybe I could tell a few people about Arocalypse who might be interested in joining... just maybe. I'm not making any promises)

    CAPSLOCKIA

THAT'S EXACTLY WHY I DON'T GO ON THE AVEN CAPSLOCKIA, IT'S SO CROWDED AND I DON'T LIKE CROWDS. THOUGH THIS HERE DEFINITELY NEEDS TO BE MORE ACTIVE... AVEN IN GENERAL STRESSES ME OUT SOMETIMES WITH HOW MUCH IS GOING ON THERE.

Ah, German. The language that requires you to write "Student/-innen"

    4. aihpen

      aihpen

@RobinYou can also say "Studierende" which is gender neutral, but when you use the singular form you'll have to gender again. Such a weird language.

  17. On christmas day we were visiting my grandparents and when we were leaving my grandma told me to bring my boyfriend next year... I practically ran away because I just couldn't stop myself from laughing at that. She says something like that every year, I wonder how many years it'll take her to realize that that's not going to happen.
  18. I finally got short hair and I'm so so so happy :D

  19. Ok thanks, I crossed it off my bingo card now
  20. Question: If the comment is directed to an ace aro group of eight people that you are part of, does that count? I mean I didn't go on a youtube channel or something just to cross things off, it actually didn't happen on the internet but in real life, but it was directed at me, but also not me alone...
  21. I am soooo lucky that the OSCE summit is almost directly next to my uni... ¬¬

  22. That makes sense, I think I know how you mean it now. Yes this is important. It's something I knew before, I just never heard about how it is the other way around which is why I started this thread But I feel this kind of started to drift off topic to what even is gender dysphoria or dysphoria in general... oooops Anyway what you said is always worth mentioning. I never heard about that, but we can agree that there are more forms of body dysphoria than gender dysphoria, I didn't really phrased my question clear enough. I think I should actually edit my first post, so it's clear that I'm not talking about body dysphoria in general...
  23. Well the diagnostic criteria for gender dysphoria in adolescents and adults from the article use "experienced gender" where I'd say mine is different than my gender assigned at birth, but you said: and I wouldn't say I "strongly identify" with that gender. I also don't strongly identify with my assigned gender and also not with any other gender or even with not having one. I think I do have a gender and that that is different from my assigned one, but I wouldn't use "strongly identify" for that... I do feel strongly about the things that I think are caused by that gender, but the gender itself... I don't even feel the need to find a label for it, I just really like not identifying as anything whether that's a woman, a man, something inbetween, no gender at all or anything else, I don't think I want to identify even though I think I have a gender and that's not my assigned one? Does this somehow make sense? I'm not going to tell you if that's dysphoria or not, because I firstly don't feel like I know enough about this to tell you and also I can't look into your mind so I wouldn't know anyway. But I'd say if you feel like that about your body because of male attention, it doesn't seem to be gender dysphoria because it's not really caused by gender. If it would be dysphoria, then probably another not gender related form of body dysphoria? I really don't know, I'm no expert. I didn't think you were insensitive at all. I totally see what you both were talking about, I was just saying that because untamed said she experienced it mildly before, so I was just questioning whether actual dysphoria can ever be called "mild". I asked it to understand dysphoria better, not because I thought you two were insensitive or something I heard about body dysmorphia before and I think for some people it might be hard to tell which of the two applies to them, personally I'm sure though that it isn't something I have. And that is definitely a thing that cis people can get too
