  1. just finished reading this book called Rick today and it made me realize a few things

    1) if this book was around when i was 8-10 years old (it's a book for ppl of that age i think), i think that shit would've been made clearer that i was aroace a lot quicker than it did

    2) i finished it in like a solid 15-25 minutes, i don't think i've ever done that sorta thing since i was little. most of the books i usually read are long 500 page messes. this one was a solid 200 something pages and with very big lines for text

    3) this author is really good at making kids books with good rep. a nonbinary person, trans girl, bisexual person, pansexual, etc.

all good. all nice. and summed up in a way that the 8-10 age ranges can understand

    4) this feels like a sequel (that isn't rlly a sequel, more like a book in the same universe with contunity) of George. mainly bc one character had that deadname, same friend, etc.

    5) apparently 6th graders go around burning signs now. or maybe that's just one idiot in the book named jeff. idk. but it sucked to read him doin that shit.

    6) somewhat of a repeat of #1, but i feel like this book will 100% help those at a young age not feel so isolated for being themselves. like i said, if i read this book at an earlier age, maybe i'd wouldn't have landed into certain situations and such.

I have that one too and I agree on all your points! Would have been nice to have had as a kid, super fast read and great rep all around. I bought my copy in Dutch so my parents could read it too and they were really touched by it.
