shotinthehand Posted March 1, 2017 Share Posted March 1, 2017 Sophie, who's avatar is delightful doodle of grumpy cat, is sick today, and she spent the entire day without any physical, in person human contact, although she did have a Skype call with one of her best friends this morning, Leah. She just wants someone else to take care of her today, but that didn't happen and it's past 9:30 pm where she is, so she should cut her losses and go to bed. She wishes that she could call someone. Tomorrow she is going to call a friend she caught *feelings* for. Hopefully, tomorrow she will feel better, so she can do something productive. The only remotely productive thing she did today was her laundry and a tiny bit of homework. It was just updating a photo documentation of some experiments she's conducting at home--"home" as in her host-father's home, not home as in where her family and friends are. She spent all of today taking it easy with "Welcome to Nightvale" and Netflix and the internet but she still feels sick. She stumbled across "Welcome to Nightvale"/Jaws slash fic with far more smut than she wanted. She gave up part way through chapter two. Although the fluff cracked her up, the smut and porn was too much for her. She pushed her phone away and started to yell please for it to stop or visceral cries of disgust. Her friend Richard had declined to read it for her to warn her of such things. Richard has texted her on and off throughout her day and has made her feel a little better. She wants to call her family, but she's worried she irritates and worries them with her frequent, unhappy calls home. Her body temperature feels wrong and her throat hurts and her head aches. She has made a mess in the house that she needs to clean and she needs to unpack the suitcase she packed for a trip to her friend Nora for Karneval. Perhaps Karneval has something to do with her host-father's inquiry as to whether she drank alcohol yesterday. She didn't, and anyone who knows her would have assumed that. She also wonders what a Welcome to Nightvale/Jaws fic would look like and realises while typing it was probably in the Jaws universe and not using Jaws as an actual romantic character.
