my science teacher has been summoned to fucking court? for jury duty?
wtf is jury duty?
according to my teacher, this summoning shit happens every 3 years once you reach 18?
and then he says he gets sleected to serve for this ""jury panel"" for a 3 week trial which is inconvenient as fuck
like ok, sorry but the way you're wording this shit makes it sound like a fucking cult
my parents have never had to do this in a million years (otherwise i would've known)

eh, relax, it happens sometimes. its not a cult
although a secret cult hiding their activities by pretending the members are off for jury duty sounds like a really cool plot. and they would likely be legally bound to not talk about what they discussed in a jury so it would be a really interesting way to cover for cult behaviour.
