how do I tell my friend I want to be in a queerplatonic relationship with them?

I have a friend I want to be in a queerplatonic relationship with but I don't know how to tell them. I need advice. do I just go up and say something like "hey... I want to be in a queerplatonic relationship with you" or do I send them a text?

Depends what you are most comfortable with

Unfortunately mind reading hasn't been developed yet so if you want to get in to some form of formal, agreed upon relationship with someone you are going to have to ask them or they will have to ask you. For something like a QPR I'm guessing you will need to be the one asking.

Yeah life aint fair but you are either going to have to ask or accept it isn't going to happen.

There are some “queerplatonic relationship forms” or something that can be found, I tired linking one but it said the attachment was too big. Maybe look into one of those?
