1. Walker has very imaginative decriptions and is able to use the terms that are popular.
2. “so many different elements” she said that it held so many different people from all over the Bronx.
3. Everyone liked it so it was something that they could all talk about.
4. In her youth it was the beginning of hip-hop and nowadays it was more modernized.
5. I can see that Walker is trying to not sound biased and she does a pretty good job at it, but in some parts her biases were shown, in a sense. So, she is biased.
6. It is like not being cool. If you don’t want people to ostracize you because your not dressed a certain way or if your not talking the “right way” you assimilate with the times.
7. Their music, vehicles, and or clothing.
8. She gains a certain inclusiveness and understanding about modern hip-hop.
9. It helps her to understand her understanding of her school, culture, and herself by explaining the small piece of her life that she might not have understood before.
10. The tone of her essay is explaining her understanding of hip-hop is personal and insinuates and infuses the entire essay with a personal tone.
