Is this place for writing as in stories/fiction or is there also some dedication to writing non fiction. 

To be honest I have never written fiction and the idea of writing it isn't something I am interested in, but I enjoy rambling through the carnival of aros topics and a place to where I could learn a bit about writing in that sort of way and share ideas of topics to talk about is one I would find really interesting.

I just joined! I write fiction (as a hobby so far!) and most of my main characters are aromantic/asexual.

Any kind of writing is welcome. If there isn't a channel or event that focuses on nonfiction in the way you are looking for you can recommend it in #server-brainstorm on the server.
