I have been quite confused about romance, but reading some of the posts on Arocalypse was very helpful. Especially how non-romantic forms of attraction are not described as lesser. I read the definition of "squish" in the handy list of terms here, and realized that it precisely describes how I've felt before, which is what had been confusing me!
