  1. I've even used "arrangement" before šŸ˜… That one sounds worse than neutral out loud lol.
  2. šŸ˜® Woah what a coincidence! Was the original pic from anything?
  3. I use partner. My partner enjoys having some kind of label that sets them apart from others, and partner feels the least romantic to me, so that's what we use. It's a compromise, but their important to me, so I don't mind.
  4. Another fellow autistic! Hello! I too struggle(d) to understand crushes, or love songs, or any piece of media where someone is completely swept away by another, but especially crushes when you consider the parties involved don't even know each other.
  5. Welcome! What's your preferred medium for horror? and favorite piece from that preferred medium?
  6. Owl House is fantastic šŸ™Œ Welcome!
  7. Welcome! There's no harm in wearing the label, seeing if it feels right, labels can change, so no worries. I hope you find the answers you're looking for and maybe you'll find some posts here relatable and validating.
  8. Thank you! I've heard Spiritbox's music before but I'll have to check out architects and ice nine kills!
  9. I have a tattoo, five dots with the aro colors along my wrist!
  10. When I saw an intersectionality section, I figured there had to be a neurodivergent forum. I don't think I know any aro and/or ace folks who are not neurodivergent in some way. By definition doesn't an aromantic mind diverge from the typical? Can you conduct yourself in a neurotypical way and not feel romantic attraction? šŸ¤” For myself, I have been diagnosed with ADHD combined type and ASD.
  11. I love physical touch, but it comes with an asterisk. 1) I'm demisexual, so I don't really desire nor want random physical touch or affection from people I don't know very well, but for the people I do know well, I love hugging, cuddling and whatever physical touch they are comfortable with. It makes me feel...closer to them, like on a spiritual level. 2) That physical touch I may have with friends NEEDS to be private. I cannot stand PDA and am repulsed by it. I do not want people to perceive me as being romantic with someone and I also physical touch is very intimate for me and PDA feels very...inappropriate is the best word I can use to describe it. Hugging is the extent I will tolerate in public.
  12. Mine is one of my favorite Magic the Gathering cards!
  13. Hello! šŸ‘‹ My name is Jaiden (Any pronoun is fine), I'm genderfluid and I identify as aromantic and demi/pansexual; I am also autistic, which may or may not be tangentially related to my queer identify. I had known for a while that my ideas for ideal friendships or "relationships" were different from most others but I didn't know about/adopt the label until this past year, and I'm glad I did! Now I can better communicate with others about how I feel and join communities like these šŸ’— As I'm sure you guys have experienced, I just don't find a lot people like me. I enjoy reading non-fiction, writing/playing/listening to music, most of it some subgenre of metal, playing games: card, board, video, ect... playing DnD, writing, and watching various twitch streams, shows, and movies. Thanks for checking out my introduction and I'm excited to meet other people who are also on the Aro spectrum. Hmu with your metal recommendations! šŸ¤˜
