    I started identifying as demiromantic in the middle of last year but I was still a bit unsure? I looked at the definition and it connected with me. Its weird because I was very aware of what aromanticism was before, I had done a lot of research, and yet I never considered it until then (probably due to aroallo stigma/erasure). Then on New Years Eve last year I went on the aro subreddit and I was like 'oh shit I really am aro' and it hit me like a truck. A few days later I discovered the arospike label and I was like 'yeah that fits better than demiro' although grayro also fits.

    alright at this point I've just accepted this is how it will be lol, lost it again, its mostly because I just keep taking it off to fidget with it, its one of the reasons I can't really do jewelry in general

    I've seen people unironically be like 'oh well since people are seen as straight in society by default, that means aroaces are just viewed as single straight people, meaning they still have straight privlege' which...no? They definitely aren't viewed the same way as single straight people are, aphobic people are quick to medicalize aroace people and view them as 'defective'.
