I wish I could figure out my platonic attraction and alterous attraction.

You meet a group, but they are actually an incredibly advanced group of anthropomorphic animals and you would get along very well except that you cannot understand their language, so communication is rather difficult.

Oh, so you made the community of humans into anthro animals, themselves? How would Islam even work with that? What would headscarves and human-specific rulings look like?

lol it was for a project about the history of the projector (which is also very ironic lol, since this is a partner project and we decided on projector bc it was an option and there is one sitting in front of use always)

am i 12? no, im not. i do think im a child at heart tho. im like 15. i have very unconventional likes and interests from most of the ppl i go to school with

Ah, cool! The history of the projector, haha.
What kind of likes do you have? Unconventional in what sense?

I wish I could find a community of Muslims/Desis, or both, who share the same hobbies and interests as me, especially the hobby of liking anthropomorphic animals.

Just as Saturnalia was a major Solstice celebration for southern Europe, so was Yuletide in the north. The word Yule was the name of the time period now divided into December & January. It involved bringing into your home: ivy, holly, mistletoe & a tree to be decorated in honor of Odin. Odin gained knowledge & transcended death after being hung from a tree - instead of a cross. A Yule log was burned in honor of Thor. You can't cut a tree down for this; you have to find a fallen log that will burn for days. Over the Yule log's fire is cooked a boar (in honor of Freyr) for the community to feast upon.

    Fascinating.

In 1999,[6] digital cinema projectors were being tried out in some movie theatres. These early projectors played the movie stored on a computer, and sent to the projector electronically. Due to their relatively low resolution (usually only 2K) compared to later digital cinema systems, the images at the time had visible pixels. By 2006, the advent of much higher 4K resolution digital projection reduced pixel visibility. The systems became more compact over time. By 2009, movie theatres started replacing film projectors with digital projectors. In 2013, it was estimated that 92% of movie theatres in the United States had converted to digital, with 8% still playing film. In 2014, numerous popular filmmakers—including Quentin Tarantino and Christopher Nolan—lobbied large studios to commit to purchase a minimum amount of 35 mm film from Kodak. The decision ensured that Kodak's 35 mm film production would continue for several years.[7]

Although usually more expensive than film projectors, high-resolution digital projectors offer many advantages over traditional film units. For example, digital projectors contain no moving parts except fans, can be operated remotely, are relatively compact and have no film to break, scratch or change reels of. They also allow for much easier, less expensive, and more reliable storage and distribution of content. All-electronic distribution eliminates all physical media shipments. There is also the ability to display live broadcasts in theaters equipped to do so.

You are an aspiring film director, after all!

(For some reason, I get the vibe that you're 12, I have no idea why).

Sometimes I wonder why love–stories are about teenagers so often („aren‘t they waaaaay to young for romance or to fall in love???“)

then I remember that those stories show the allonorm; my confusion is just me being aromantic

Exactly how I feel about it too!

Worst (coming out as bi, which I identified with at the time, on a Christian forum) involved someone telling me they had my personal information and were debating on whether to out me to my church leaders. They said it was because I had stated that I work in children's ministry, and that I cannot be allowed to "indoctrinate" the kids.

Best was this past summer on FB, I came out publicly as a lesbian. I got lots of love and someone from my church offered me a hug next time she saw me. I didn't get any backlash from it at all. I had been so very scared, but it worked out. Last year I had come out to just one church elder, and talked to her about coming out.

Interesting how different two churches can be, when it comes to sexualities that involve attraction to the same-sex. Out of curiosity, if you do not mind, how would your church react if you had come out to them as bisexual?
How would react to you being on the aromantic spectrum, or the asexual spectrum> Or both?

I love your profile image! It's an excellent piece of art! Traditional art, or digital art?

There is a new forum post in welcome and forum rules explaining the basics of points, badges, posts etc.

Is there anything you think i should add?

    thanks to @Storm_leopardcatfor the idea.

I think it is a good one to have one place where common things about the forum can be found, so i want to expand that idea somewhat with other basic info.

Oh no, I am only seeing this post now! I am so sorry for that robotic canary! Excellent idea, and thank you for giving me credit, it was nothing, honestly!

hi! im andy and im a non-sam aro. ive known im aro for a couple years now but the labels have shifted a bit until i landed on non-sam. i use any pronouns and no officer i have no clue where this 'gender' you speak of is.

ive been getting more involved in aro spaces recently, really letting myself enjoy the community and while i was looking for aro spaces, i found this forum! it looks lovely.

i actually figured out that i was arospec because when i tried dating someone i immediately felt like throwing up when i thought of them. really shitty couple days and i still feel super bad for the other person.

my fave colour is purple but green is a close second. i like junji ito (only manga ill ever read), reading, weaving, art, history, and mythology! i mostly like literary books and short stories, as well as horror. i write fanfic occasionally and some original fiction too. i read rick riordan's books as a kid and now im always gonna be an encyclopedia of myth knowledge.

im polish, so id love to connect with other polish people on here that there might be!

  10. Hmm, favourite food? As in a dish, or snack?

I have answered this earlier, in another post. For dishes, that would be biryani, nihari, haleem, arvii, or aloo gosht!

I pike French fries, especially the ones which have the peels on. With only pepper. I also like fried pieces of zinger chicken. Tortilla wrapped sandwiches!

    Shawarma. Soups, of all sorts.

Dark chocolate, especially above 85% dark! Vanilla flavoured stuff?

Blueberries and watermelon. As well as raspberries and blackberries. Cucumbers and carrots. Also, corn!

Pistachios, cashews, hazelnuts, and pine seeds (which are uncommon and quite expensive, unfortunately!).

    Ice-cream!

    My other response:
