it seems I was quite lucky in school that it didn't happen obviously. I think my eyes/brain airbrushes lots of things out of my notice though, or I am so indifferent that my brain dismisses it the instant I see it. That is all about seeing or not seeing though, I am quite sensitive to what I hear. Loud making out noises, baby talk, continuous use of sickening pet names, and "I love you. No, I love you more" conversations all go into the red zone for me. Actually I will add a black zone, for baby talk and feeding behaviour, they make me nauseous. That is just so wrong.

I have never been in anything serious enough with the expectation of continuation to change my relationship status on Facebook. The closest thing I have had to a 'relationship' was more of a summer fling, we both knew it had a best before date when we went into it. I have accidentally been on dates, but when they get romantic I let them down quickly.

Being alone and being lonely are different things, sadly the loneliness you describe is the one you can feel while surrounded by people which is harder to tackle. 

Seeing as the a-community is fairly small, if you want people to relate to specific things I guess you will have to use the internet to connect and stop expecting your real life friends to relate when all they can probably do is understand and accept. I know there is a triple A on Aven who wears 3 thin black rings to feel continued connection to their online community when they are out and about in real life activities.
