What you said is true. I went through a catfish/loss of trust/trauma/privacy-invasion/heartbreak years ago that triggered my repulsion, cynicism, anger and judgement against romance. Post Malone's Over Now is so harsh and angry it speaks to me. Anything with a 'heartbreak-ish' theme speaks romance repulsion in my mind. It's like telling others that there's no such thing as a perfect romance/relationship/love, it's not a severe necessity/importance, counts as a word/tale of caution/warning and everything is just an unwanted public scandal waiting to happen. Those songs I've listed are the kind that makes me sing out loud to shut out the amatonormativity and societal/media/social/cultural influence of romance all around me.
