alto
I am Unitarian Universalist, my church never had a problem with me. All of the problems I've ever had being aroace have been because of modern American culture, not my faith. My best church friend harassed me about being aroace during 2020 (he later died of COVID, I really don't know how to feel about that). I genuinely can't suss how my family feels about it, I have autism and my family can be very hard to read.
KristenMorales
I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you've faced, but it's great to hear that your church has been supportive. Religion and aromanticism can coexist harmoniously, and it's unfortunate that some individuals may not fully understand or accept it.Regarding your family, it can be tough to interpret their feelings, especially with the added complexity of autism. Remember that people may have different ways of expressing their understanding and support. For those who need guidance, I found a resource that may provide more When You Need God. Additional support and inspiration can be helpful on the path to recovery. Edited December 8, 2023 by KristenMorales
Guest
I’m a Lutheran from a conservative synod, they don’t care because I’m already celibate and they don’t know the difference.
