I guess I've always had my aro moments even when I was a kid. I remember being completely repulsed by romantic scenes in movies, luckily that changed though, now those scenes are simply boring to me. But the terrible thing was my friends seemed to love those kind of movies, so they dragged me to the cinema with them to watch it. I once was so annoyed by a movie, that my friends got annoyed by my complaining during the movie that one of them handed me her phone, so I could play some snake I think we even once talked about whether or not we want a boyfriend, sex, marriage, children, etc. in the future and all of my friends seemed to want that stuff when they get older except me (this was in primary school, I was probably around 8). All I wanted a dog.... Nothing has changed since then  I also used to be even more blind to people having crushes on me then I am now. I always only noticed when my friends pointed it out and even then I wouldn't believe them and thought they were just being nice and trying to become my friend...

I DIDN'T EVEN WATCH IT. I WATCHED ILLUMINATI INSTEAD, BECAUSE THAT SEEMED SO MUCH BETTER. ALL I KNOW IS THAT GERMANY BECAME LAST, BUT I HONESTLY DON'T CARE.

I don't think you handled it badly. It's better giving a clear no than saying yes even though that's not at all what you want. I would've probably acted the same or at least in a very similar way.

I had a really fun art class today, have been really productive and had very interesting conversations with this old woman. I don't even care that I was stuck in holiday traffic for way too long.

I don't want to raise kids and I don't think my romantic orientation has influenced that. My reasons for not wanting to raise kids don't really have to do with me being aro. I would like to raise a dog though

I was hanging out with my best friend today eating ice cream when she asked if I had a boyfriend I just said no, she said she didn't either and I just told her that I'm not even interested and she totally understood it and said she felt the same way. I don't know if she's aro spec or something or if she isn't interested in getting a boyfriend for other reasons, but I'm just so happy because she is the first person in my life who seems to understand and feels a similar way. It was the first time that I could talk to someone about how annoyed I am by people expecting me to get into a romantic relationship. I never realized how much I actually needed a friendship like this until today. I've literally sat here crying happy tears for the past two hours (since I arrived home)  Oh and the ice cream was great too
