  1. As a teenager I just was never interested in dating anyone. It was something I just never thought about at all even through college. I was very indifferent to it even though all my friends had boyfriends and girlfriends. I only started thinking about when my family started pressuring me after I graduated college and never had dated anyone. My father used to call me weird and said something was wrong with me.

  2. I'm not repulsed by it but I don't want to see it. I'm more irritated by straight people because society thinks it's ok for them to be all over each other in front of everyone but they want to throw rocks if a gay couple just holds hands. Other than that I'm pretty indifferent about it all.

  3. When you're really into a character because they have no romantic interest in anyone and they're happy and living their life and then BAM love interest out of nowhere. And you just sit there with your mouth hanging open thinking, "What the hell!"

YMBAI you think they ruined the second season of Daredevil with romance. (I don't think I can even finish it, it's a huge letdown from season 1)

But doesn't this happen with EVERY show?

  5. Thinking you want a girlfriend or boyfriend because everyone you know has one. Then you start talking to someone and you realize once again that it is not what you want. And a long time period passes and the it all happens again the same way.

Given this, we can define aromantics similarly to the AVEN definition of asexuals:

    • An aromantic person is a person who does not experience romantic attraction.

Anything but this. I don't know why people think the AVEN definition of asexuality is so perfect. It's awkward. No one speaks like this. No one is going to tell another person, "I don't experience sexual attraction." You ever hear a gay man tell someone "I experience sexual attraction toward other men"?
