  1. If there's something negative, then it's their mindset and I'm talking in general about pushing people into using specific terms and only them when we're talking about queer. Queer isn't something you can put in nice boxes that each person would fit. There always will be something that will make a certain person wonder: "is it really this? Or maybe not?" and then you (general "you") create terms and definitions that reflect your experience. I personally prefer calling myself simply "aromantic", but, like, I understand that it may be too vague for another arospec person.

  2. I relate to, or much rather kin with, Nagito Komaeda from "Danganronpa", however he's gay, so it's only on the personality level. There's, like, 0 aromantic representation in the works I've ever been interested in and if there were, they'd probably aroace rep and I'm not aroace, so… Yeah. There's nothing for me there. If aro headcanons count, then maybe I'd relate to Kristoph Gavin, what, without any context, is a red flag (who played Ace Attorney 4 knows what I'm talking about).

  3. I'm strict aromantic and I do have fictional crushes, three at the moment with one being my main "fictional other" (and he's literally the worst villain in the whole franchise). I don't wish any of them being real, or anything like that, because I'm repulsed by the idea of being in a romantic relationship for real. I'm into them, because they are fictional.

I just got banned from reddit for 7 days cause they think this term is encouraging division in the community, which I frankly don't understand and it makes me mad, so it is nice to see positive feedback here. The whole point was finding a non-offensive term.

Encouraging division in the community? Ban? That's an absurd. You didn't cause any harm to anyone by saying: "oh, hey, I think this term may be useful to some people".

I still love romantic genres (although, I am quite picky), and sometimes I ship characters romantically more than platonically, or queerplatonically

I personally dislike it when there's canon romance in works of another genres – especially when it's heteronormative romance that is pushed down your throat and I'm really, really picky about ships. Someone would think that because most of my ships are slash then I ship anything between two (or more) male characters, but I don't. There are many ships (and tropes) I just can't stomach.

  6. Of course it is valid. Each aro person experiences their aromanticism in a different way. I personally don't experience romantic attraction at all and I'm rather repulsed by idea of involving myself in any romantic relationship, but I'm an active shipper and I enjoy writing about my favorite ships – I think that saying that about 90% of my fanfiction is romance wouldn't be any exaggeration. Also, human's brain is simply a very weird place – while you may enjoy something in fiction, it may be a complete "no" for real situations (notice, for example, how many people love the horror genre).

  7. Uhhhhh… No. Just because it "would benefit many people" doesn't mean it's a good idea. In this case it would turn aromanticism into a "fancy term that anyone fits" what isn't anything good in result. Keep in mind that queer in general isn't something that you can pick. You're queer or not, you can't "pick" it and the same counts for aromanticism which is a form of being queer.

Also, there's an obvious difference between experiencing no romantic attraction at all (or experiencing it in a non-normative way) and picking to not enter romantic relationships (or when it's forced, like it was mentioned by Mult) while experiencing it.

  9. I'm currently into Ace Attorney. I finished AA4 and AA1, now I'm close to complete AA2, too. There are three more main games and two spin-offs for me to play. Kristoph Gavin and his younger brother, Klavier Gavin, are my absolute favorites and I find it impossible for me to pick just one of them.

  10. Nothing big from me. I'm just going to make some posts about my arospec headcanons for some characters. And maybe I'll write a fanfic (I can't reveal details because it's a big spoiler for the "Danganronpa" series). There's also a chance for me making a post about a possible effect of being aro for roleplaying (I have something that one day I'm open for romance in roleplay and on another I'm repulsed by it), but I don't know if it makes any sense.

  11. I've finished Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc for the first time. The soundtrack, plot and mini-games are awesome. Before I play it again (mainly because I missed some things), I want to finish the bonus mode that was unlocked after the final chapter.
