i see! i just thought that overall lithoromantic means someone who may experience romantic attraction that doesnt want it to be reciprocated due to being repulsed; uncomfortable or some other reason. the definition didnt really say they would usually want to participate in a relationship but ofc that doesnt cover all lithoromantic experiences. thank you for the extra info

Dw! That's the most-common definition, so it makes sense that that's the one you would know

frayromantic perhaps? i dont think theres a term describing this specific experience rn

op said theyre thrilled when attraction is reciprocated tho; they implied that they dont mind it being reciprocated but its just that once they get into a romantic relationship the attraction fades so i dont think this term describes that experience close enough tbh

The definition of lithromanticism is actually pretty vague, and one of the definitions is the attraction fading when you get into a relationship with them (I can't attach a screenshot bc the file is too big, but just control+F "Experiencing discomfort upon entering a romantic relationship with a crush" in the link I sent)

  4. Current and past

1: Meal: any kind of soup (chicken avocado sandwiches)
    2: Snack/dessert/junk food: Chocolate (chocolate)
3: Movie: Don't Look Up (No idea, probably nothing)
4: TV show: No idea (Lolirock)
5: Book/Series: In Other Lands (Amelia Bedelia)
6: Music/Song: Anything by AJR, or We Don't Have to Dance by Andy Black (Absolutely no clue, but probably something my parents put on lol)
    7: Animal: Dogs (Snakes)
8: Game: Scrabble (these wooden shape things Foam Pattern Blocks, 1-cm, Set of 250 but they were giant and flat and made of foam and when my pattern was done I would throw a fit if anyone cleaned up the blocks)
    9: Hobby: Making earrings (doodling)
10: Idea for a strange law that you'd like to pass: No more paywalls, and no more creators getting less than they deserve (Peppers are outlawed. Any fields that grow peppers are burned, and no one can eat peppers or force me to eat them ever again)

Dumb question, but how do you make a wikipedia account?

In the top right corner, there should be a little "Create account" text box. Click that and you can make an account!

i created a wiki acc. how do i add a comment in the talk section?

You go to the Talk page, which is right beside the article page (scroll to the top of the article and look right under the title, there should be a link thing), then you should see this (from google since I can't attach screenshots (they're too big)):

Wikipedia, part IV: Talk pages | Disrupting Dinner PartiesClick "Click here to start a new topic" and that's a new comment in the talk section

So I heard there's this thing where aros wear a plain white ring around their middle finger to show pride. Is this an actual thing or am I mistaken?

If this is real? If it is where can I get one of the rings and what hand is it normally worn on?

Yep, it's a thing! (Although a bit of an old-fashioned aro thing, since I don't know a ton of aros nowadays who wear white rings.) I bought mine at a street fair in a big street near my house, but you can buy them on Amazon, Etsy, probably at Claires.. there's a lot of places to buy a plain white ring.

What the title says. When I found out I was aro, it was easy to accept,  in fact I was happy about it. I felt complete in a way. It felt like a massive relief that I'd never need to date anyone and everything that entails. A weight off my shoulders.

Me too! But I do recognize that as a product of having very supportive parents who didn't really force me to do anything, and who I don't think ever even told me "when" you get a partner. Other people didn't get that chance, though, and unfortunately amatonormativity is so prevalent in so many people's lives that it makes finding out they won't really be participating in the whole Romance Game a giant slap to the face

Has anyone else experienced a situation where you suddenly realise you don’t have to get into a romantic relationship and you see a whole new world open up in front of you? Finding out about platonic partnerships made me feel a similar thing, and my friend had the same kind of response when I told them about QPRs so I’m curious about if this is a common thing.

Oh I absolutely did, when I first realized I didn't really NEED to follow anyone else's rules for how my life would look. And then again, when I realized I didn't even need to have my labels defined by anyone else, and honestly no one did. It felt kind of like having looked at one of those paintings made up of little dots for years, seeing the same thing everyone else did, and then waking up one day and looking closer, and seeing the little meaningless dots that made up the picture
