i watched Turning Red today and it was hella cool
i did not know there was so much red panda lore oml
but hey, it was great and it touched me in a lot of places
especially the whole "constant perfect scholar" thing
i also have the habit of hiding any tests and stuff below 90 in my locker n stuff!
and the whole "being perfect" thing almost touched me in a way
anyways
so i have disney + now-
apparently my dad's rogers acc has 6 months free and my dad was like "ok, let's do it" and YAS i have disney + now
i looked up the owl house and it only has s1 :/
so lame
i thought they'd have up to Season 2A man at least
am very disapointed bc i wanted to bing sum owl house
s1 is lame in terms of real plot going
s2a is kind there
idk
what a let down tbh
and im from canada so it's not like it was censored or sum sh*t idk that was a lletdown
im curious about that show called...uh moonlight or something where the MC is some normal dude who turns into an assassin sometimes so :)
dude has DID but only 1 other person to switch from, I assumed there'd be more since systems don't rlly usually come in pairs (i think, at least from what i've seen)
ye so D+ was the best thing that ever happened

not to be That person but i feel like a lot of language used on aven is super clinical sounding. like how everyone refers to people as males or females, or to non-ace people as sexuals. like "she's a sexual female" or "I'm surrounded by sexuals." Calling people sexuals, especially, is just really dehumanizing imo. it sounds like everyone is talking about animals rather than other humans and it gives me the creeps. has anyone else noticed?

That's interesting. I took a look at the link, and I had never heard that side of it before. Thank you for sharing it with me! I'm asexual, so my opinion doesn't really matter, but I do think that using the term "sexual" can be confusing since it's used so broadly. To me it also implies that ace people can't be sexually active. Same with romantic. That could be talking about romance in general ("That picnic is so romantic!") or the Romantic era in literature or describing someone as a "hopeless romantic" (which I am even though I'm aro). I've always used "allo" or "alloro" and no one has corrected me, but if someone told me that they prefer to be called something else I would respect that. It's probably a preference thing for most people. I do agree that AVEN can be a mess sometimes. I think it's important to remember that language is complex and ever-changing. Right now terms are in a state of flux because the asexual/aromantic communities aren't very well-known and there doesn't seem to be an widely agreed-upon consensus of terms. We're all doing our best to find a word or words that feels right. We're just working with what we have. @Neon Green Packing Peanut

From what I know of ace history, that term was last widely used a while ago. Maybe a decade ago? (don't quote me on that) Now it tends to be allosexual or allos. I guess I haven't looked at their "info pages" recently, so maybe their info is outdated? I definitely agree with your analysis of the term "sexual" being used to describe allos though and how it's dehumanizing. That's probably why the dialogue has shifted to allosexual or allo for short
