  1. I was in a class with some of my friends and one of them decided to ask me out.

I remember blushing really hard (I blush so easily and I hate it), asking the teacher to go to the bathroom, and hyperventilating in a stall.

At least when it's alone I can compose my thoughts and say no clearly. The guy asked me about it the rest of the week during class even after I told him no ¬¬

  2. A couple years ago I was asked out by a couple guys, and I got really panicky and had episodes akin to anxiety attacks. I'm pretty sure that was romance repulsion.

I also didn't like the idea of marriage; I remember thinking that I didn't like marriage as a third grader, but maybe that's just because I was a third grader xD the point is that my views never changed.

Besides that, I never really had much to do with romance or anything as a child. I didn't really care much about it.

I didn't even notice the people around me were getting into romantic relationships during senior school unless someone specifically told me (and that didn't happen very often). I think I was only ever aware of three romantic relationships that the people around me were getting into, but looking back I feel like that was nowhere near the number that actually occurred.

Me too! There's a couple on my soccer team that I assumed were siblings until very recently...whoops xD

  3. Story about PDA: after school when I walk towards my bus, there are 4+ couples that stop outside in the same general area and hug and kiss. Every time I shiver and get a sick feeling in my stomach. Just...consecutive shivers every 5 steps - I hate it.

There's so much PDA at my school help.

Speaking of Disney/Pixar movies, I always see Merida from Brave as aro. The whole conflict is her not wanting to get married.

Granted, you can say it's just because she's too young and not interested in any of the potential suitors etc. but I choose to see her as fundamentally uninterested in romance.

Merida is the closest Disney has gotten to an aro ace Disney princess :D

And it's true, she shows no interest for romance whatsoever. It's not like she's in love with someone else, or she wants to marry for love; she just doesn't want to get married.

Does anyone else have that instinctual disgust and/or annoyance? It's something I really struggle with and I'd like to know if anyone has discovered a way to deal with it.

I do. If someone is holding hands or if I see something even remotely romantic in a movie, I'll make a face. I don't know why, I'm not always repulsed by it, but I make the face anyway.

How does romantic love reverse neuro damage and re-animate dead tissue? And who wants to cuddle with a walking dead anyway? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    I've seen this movie :P

It's just because their love is ~so strong~

In middle school some "friends" of mine started talking about their weddings and I'm sitting here like??? But you're not even dating anyone??? Have you even though about how much it will cost?????

Recently, one of my friends started a wedding board on Pinterest. It's so far away though? We're 15, why would you plan this now?
