  1. I'm an agender or perhaps a gender neutral aro. I'm honestly not sure if my gender is connected to my sexuality. Perhaps. I wouldn't be surprised, looking at the gender stats on AVEN.

It should be noted that "half love-struck" means that you've gotten the highest score out of all the romantics that have taken it so far. :P (scores so far have ranged from 83-100 for romantics and 5-35 for aromantics; the test only rates you as being in romantic love if you get over 150, and being half love-sick means you got 100-150)

I got a 3! ;) Does that mean I hold the world record?

For the record, I do agree that the quiz is biased, that many of the questions measure an extreme/pathological version of love, etc.

However, the fact that it seems to accurately and consistently distinguish aromantics from alloromantics (although not so much aro-spec people, who have gotten scores all across the board) makes it most likely the best starting point we have in figuring out romantic attraction--I don't know of anything else that set out to define romantic attraction and actually achieved this degree of success, even if the quiz itself is based on some iffy stuff.

Of course. However I just thought we should keep it in mind. I was mostly saying it in response to people's concerns at how damn creepy and unhealthy some of the points are. They're exaggerated due to the bias of the author, I believe.

  4. @Tal Shi'ar Yep. Mine are ending up with grandcats.

I'm not out to my parents, but I've clearly shown that I'm completely uninterested. Dad thinks because I'm not straight I must be gay. He always gets really excited if he hears I'm hanging out with one other person by themselves. Sometimes my parents do something and I think I could come out to them. But then they go and rant about trans people or gay people and then I'm like, "Nope." Sometimes mum seems like she's really educated about gender and then she goes on another rant or just does something. It's pretty confusing.

  5. How does whether or not you like maths or are good at it have any affect on your gender or sexuality??? This test is getting more and more stupid as I go through it! How does whether or not you have bipolar disorder affect anything? I never go to the beach! None of the 'removing hair' options fit me. I don't look for erotica... Whether I like poetry??? Really? My driving skill? My sense of direction?

This test is so fucking sexist. >.<

How does what my family is like affect anything? HOW WOULD 'DRESSING AS THE OPPOSITE SEX' TURN ME ON? What does that even MEAN anyway? Ugh. Oh and what my middle name ends with affects my gender. Yep. Totally.

Sooooo. I'm apparently androgynous. Which is as close to gender neutral as they could get I suppose. My appearance is masculine. Which is true I guess. I have a male brain apparently. I socialise in an androgynous manner, which I hope is true I guess. I don't have major conflicts about my gender identity though. And I'm not an FtM transgender person.

Does it group gender and sexuality together or something?
