Alterous attraction

Hey. I have this weird feeling mostly for fictional characters that I'd love to be closer to them in a friendly way that isn't probably entirely platonic, but like a more vulnerable connection. I may still have the symptoms of a "crush" though without any of the romantic feelings. Is that alterous attraction?

I'd say that is probably alterous, ive felt similar feelings and have personally labeled them as alterous

Alterous attraction is any desire for an emotional connection/closeness that isn't purely romantic or platonic (OR brings up feelings of discomfort if it is romantic/platonic). Does alterous attraction help you describe this feeling? If yes, then that's alterous! You are the best judge of yourself. You get to label yourself and your feelings however best suits you. :)
