I'd be down to get married to a friend for all the legal benefits and get my family to stop asking questions. The sound of doing laundry and taxes with my best friend doesn't seem too awful. Tho I'll most likely still keep the relationship open so my partner can look elsewhere if they want romance or sex.

I personally think it's not really a conversation worth having unless it's talking with a trusted close friend/family or a potential partner. At the end of the day, you don't owe anyone any explanation. But then again, some people managed to make new friends because they came out as aro, so I suppose it's your call!

Heya. Hope everyone is doing well. I'm Ruth. Nonbinary They/them. Turning 24 soon and I think I'm somewhere in the aro spectrum. I came across this forum a long time ago when I started suspecting, but only decided to make an account now becuase I've been having a lot of thoughts about being aro lately and frankly, still mildly confused by all this.Haven't meet too many like us irl so it's nice seeing so many of you here. Reading posts here help eases the loneliness a little. So thanks for being here! And what else...oh right, I supose it's worth mentioning I draw! A lot!
