I was raised by Christians who worried about my lack of interest in pairing off as I got older. I gave up on Christianity by 14. I just remembered as I was typing this out that they are making a new Dracula movie, but focused on Renfield - and Nicholas Cage is cast as Dracula.

When I told this story to some colleagues they just laughed about it, one of them even asked ‘was he handsome’ and when I replied ‘what does that have to do with it’ she smiled and said ‘You would have been fine with it if he was handsome.’ And I was just shocked.

It is indeed sexist to think that this course of action is perfectly fine if you want to pursue someone romantically, provided they are handsome. I find it wrong either way.

2 spirit is a Native term refering to sexual, gender and romantic minorities; in my case asexual, genderless and aromantic.  The other part calls out racial fakers; if you hear someone say that they have an ancestor who was a "Cherokee princess," that's a lie.

I was showing the new She-ra to my bff.  When we got to the episode with the underwater club I said "watch for Perfuma & Scorpia flirting in this one."  She replied "haven't they been flirting all along?"  I didn't notice until it was obvious.

We question the fabric of our society, change what has been imposed since childhood, the idea of a romantic love for every person, which makes us so so valuable.  We question if love is distinctly sectioned (romantic, platonic) or if it's mergeable for others (people in QPR's).  And that's incredible.

So you're saying what makes us different also allows us to think outside the box.
