    I am fine now but today was the first time someone has harassed me at the bus stop for being queer. Pretty scary, but he didn't escalate to anything physical so just ignoring him worked.

      luckily Oregon is pretty liberal so you shouldn't worry about it happening often.

      Yeah I've not trying to hide being queer since 2019 and have had no trouble with harassment until now. Other parts of Oregon can be more rough though, and we still need to be careful of groups like the proud boys attacking people after queer\leftest events, and recently one of the local libraries got bomb threats related to a drag queen story hour.

      I'm much safer here than most, but it is still not great.
