i think until something strikes me, i'm just going to use aroace, at least until i talk to Delta. Delta usually has good advice. keep in mind, i'm not trying to say anything like "i'd rather talk to Delta than you" that's not what i'm saying. i literally tell him everything, he was one of the first best friends i made online and going to him before i make a big decision is just habit.

sexuality is stupid.

i think i might just go back to using aroace as an umbrella term.

i really don't want to, but nothing else is working.

it's starting to affect my mental health.

Yes, I know! Old writing is always a trip down memory lane. And embarrassment lane. I write a lot of random stuff. A fair bit of fanfiction to sharpen my skills and then some of my own stuff. Currently crafting a LGBTQIA+ novel, so yippee!

Obviously I'm not in your brain and can't tell you for sure, but that seems to be what you are describing to me.

I mean, it's definitely possible, but I'm that person who has to have something concrete to go with and I don't think quoi would work, because it's not being able to tell the difference which therefore means it changes and yeah.

I did identify as aroace for a while and I did feel comfortable, but the problem is, I'm just NOT aro. It's just not me, because I feel romantic attraction, or at least what I THINK is romantic attraction.

Okay, so I've identified as asexual for a while. That went without saying.

But my romantic identity has always been a bit of a struggle.

It basically went from heteroromantic (ew straightness /j) to demiromantic to grayromantic to abroromantic to oriented aroace to bi-alterous aroace to demibiromantic. And there may have been some a-spec in there somewhere. I honestly forgot.

And I know I'm some half of romantic. Romance is just one of those things that sounds good in theory, but if I see people kiss, I want to throw up. But if I read about people kissing or picture myself kissing someone, I get the warm and floofies. And personally, I'm at the age where I could  date and half of my friends are in relationships, but I'm just like, "Nah, we're still too young to date." When one of my friends has had four boyfriends in the past 3 years. Like, dude, what??? 

So basically, I have no clue how I identify and I am the type of person who likes things to be clear and right now they are not, so I'd appreciate some insight from fellow a-specs.

Yes. The white gives it a very calm vibe.

And okay, so I was still allowed to use my computer, but I had to be where she could see me. But yesterday, my dad wanted to watch his weird vampire show or whatever and she's like "Fandom (okay, she actually said my given name, but same sentiment), you might not like this. You can go in your room."

Honestly, it is sort of refreshing for this forum to have a name like Arocalypse and not something like an acronym (imagine if this was named AUREA, instead?). I do kind of wish it was named as an acronym, though. 

 

Also, is this forum intentionally modelled after AVEN? Is it on purpose? 

 

I did think about making an account there, and would have, but it’s banned over here. 

 

It is refreshing to be in a space which focus on Aromantic people, and aromanticism, for once. It’s also a smaller, which lends to a sort of charm? Anyway, I think I might prefer it over AVEN (I didn’t hear some controversies over it?). I like this one’s design, and layout. But the dark mode/theme of AVEN is much better than Arocalypse’s. 

 

Still a lack of furries here, though. I noticed quite a few furries on AVEN, including one or two mods? Quite a few people.

Okay, so I was not banned from AVEN. My mom found out I was on AVEN and for four months, I was not allowed to be in my room with my computer by myself. Yesterday she let me do it, so glory hallelujah, I have done it.

And I love the cleanness of this site honestly. It just seems so peaceful.

Yep, I was on AVEN for a solid month and in that solid month, I had over 1000 posts and spent most of my time on ATC.
