  1. Movies/novels/etc. where the main plotline is about nothing but romance. It's fine if it's a sort of side goal, but I'd quickly become disconnected with the plot if it's only about romance. I get that allo's really like that kinda stuff, but come on just let me have this one book ;-; Also I really don't like when the main protagonists just randomly confess their love for each other when they are about to get killed or some other really bad thing is about to happen. First do your job, then get to the lovey stuff so I can fast-forward/page skim, thank you very much.
  2. I was in a "romantic relationship" once. I put this in quotes because, in hindsight, it was really just a friendship, but we both called it a romantic relationship, so I guess that's what it was? This was before I figured out I was aro. Probably would have been a pretty good friendship too if I didn't misjudge a desire for friendship as romantic attraction. :P I'm not a big fan of the awkwardness that comes with of being near that person, knowing that we used to be in what we both called a romantic relationship. Kinda brings back memories of times when I was much more naive. Not fond of that.
  3. I had a dream where I accidentally left a piece of silverware on a plate of food I was going to reheat, and I ended up turning my microwave on with silverware inside it. Dream-me was a little bit confused when the microwave didn't explode but I really didn't question it since I was, you know, dreaming. The context for this is someone told me once that if I leave metal silverware in the microwave, it'll set the microwave on fire when the rays reflect off the silverware. I've never wanted to confirm this for myself, so I never put silverware in the microwave. The dreams that I remember are all pretty weird... too bad I forget about most of them before I wake up.
  4. Hey, I'm Maisap and I'm a heterosexual aromantic, I'm a cis male and I use he/him pronouns. A few weeks ago I learned about the split-attraction model and thought that I was lithromantic but just not experiencing any romantic attraction at the moment. Some time passed and I decided that I'm probably not going to experience romantic attraction at all, and decided that being aromantic was probably a more accurate representation of me. I can code in Python and Java (Sonic Pi's pretty neat too), I play double bass, I'm learning how to use a soundboard effectively, and I play a lot of social deduction games. I'm an extrovert. I'm glad to be a part of the community. Is there a Discord server for this site? I might just join...
