i saw someone (not on here) whose username had 'aro' in it so i messaged her asking, "like aromantic?"  she goes "how do you know???"  apparently she'd never met any others.  we had a good chat.

lmao someone emailed me and addressed me as luna, then sent a follow-up email apologizing for the wrong name but ironically addressed that one to elsie.  well, she's getting closer.

i had a dream my best friend and i were married platonically.  it was cute but i don't actually want to. 

lmao i took an aro survey and the options for sexual orientation were lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, asexual, and other.  so that's the first and probably last time i've checked 'other' for my sexual orientation and a listed option for my romantic orientation.

today i met up with 4 people from a group for child-free women in my city and i mentioned i'm aro (i wanted to talk about amatonormativity and relationship anarchy at that point in the conversation) and it went well.  one of them had just days ago learned about aromanticism and listened to podcasts because she was curious about it, and she asked me a few things.  so that was nice.

just saw a tumblr post which called being allo aro/allo ace "none pizza with left attraction".  amazing

my best friend cried because the guy she's been hooking up with for just a few months isn't sure he wants to date her (she wasn't either until recently!) and i expressed sympathy but...you know what i was thinking :/

as i reclined on the sofa in a black maxi dress with f scott fitzgerald's 'the last tycoon' in one hand and a martini in the other while my best friend cooked dinner, i was the picture of sophistication...if you ignore the fact that two hours prior i was still asleep.  (we decided to stay in for new year's and had a lovely night.)

just watched love with the proper stranger (1963) and a character differentiated "sexual attraction," "romance," and "love" (in an explanation of how only the last is a good reason to marry someone).  i was impressed.  (although despite the movie being about a single woman planning to get an abortion, they don't say that word, nor even "pregnant".  so yeah, the old days.)

thinking about the time someone tried to compliment my appearance by saying "whoever's girlfriend you are is lucky".  wild

my best friend and i sometimes hang out with these other 2 girls and in the group chat one girl said that the guy she's been seeing is now her bf and the other girl said she should "spread that (success in getting a partner) to the rest of us" and i'm thinking, speak for yourself lol

just thinking about if i didn't know i was aro, how unhappy i'd be.  this community saved me.

my friend came out as asexual (i knew she was questioning) and our friend grilled her about it and i tried to have her back without speaking for her.  i just know it's not as easy to explain and stuff in the beginning.  

in conversation, my coworker said she didn't want to assume i wanted to marry a man, so i said "i don't want to marry anyone, but i like guys."  how's that for a vague but accurate summary of my orientation?  on the spot, too.

just aesthetic attraction things: i saw a gorgeous woman at a party and said to my mom "she's so pretty!"  though i've told her i'm definitely not, she may think i'm bisexual.  it's far from the first time i've observed a lovely lady.  ?  but wow, she sure was.

my friend (possibly ace-spec) asked about different types of attraction and i explained them and QPRs.  ?

there's a cute guy in my class but i'm not about to just talk to him, you know? 

it's aromantic awareness week! 

i find myself thinking i'd like to meet a guy...exactly what sort of relationship i want, i don't know, but i've been single for almost 3 years and, well, if nothing else it would stir up some drama in my life. ?‍♀️

so i talked about getting over a squish.  well, jokes, i still like him.

i think i'm falling out of like (?) with a squish and i'm ok with it
