As usual, we have an ace & aro group in both the Trans March and the Pride Parade– and friends, allies, etc. are welcome at both! All marches will proceed in any weather. 1. Trans March: Friday, June 28th Community Fair at 5pm Rally at 7pm– check in with the ace & aro group by 7:30 March starts moving at 8pm 2. Pride Parade: Sunday, June 30th Meet at 1:45 at Ted Rodgers Way and Charles St. (in front of the blue stick sculpture by the Rabba, same as last year) We’ll start moving at 2pm toward our entry point (We’ll be after Loblaws and before the Toronto Bisexual Network) As always, we invite people (especially trans/non-binary and/or bi+ folks) to march which us who don’t have another group to march with, particularly those with more radical/anti-colonial politics opposing structures of oppression. We expect everyone to abide by Toronto Aces & Aros Respect Guidelines and Pride Toronto’s policies. (Note Pride Toronto’s rules about signs don’t allow logos in the Parade from other groups; therefore, any signs protesting corporations, etc., for example, are not allowed to include those corporate logos.) 3. If there’s enough interest, we might also have a group in the Dyke March (Saturday, June 29th afternoon) Please RSVP to toronto.ace.aro.pride@gmail.com if you’d like to attend any of these marches with us! 4. Toronto Aces & Aros is having a pre-pride sign-making social on Saturday, June 22 at High Park, weather permitting (also open to non-ace/non-aro friends, allies, etc.) - details Accessibility of the Pride Parade, Trans March & Dyke March: All marches are wheelchair accessible Dress for the weather! (sunscreen, hat, etc.) Masks strongly encouraged esp. for Trans March will involve a lot of standing/walking bring water! info about ASL interpretation not posted yet https://www.pridetoronto.com/accessibility-for-festival/ If anyone needs to borrow a wheelchair or rolling walker to participate, Pride has a limited number so please let us know ASAP so we can try to make arrangements with Pride.
